  1. New Futurama tonight, Felix.
  2. I was really looking forward to a conversation with the space jockey in stasis. Instead he just went berserk and left the whole thing infinitely more grey.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) From wikipedia for what it's worth: Yeah, I saw that. But posters seem to have differing ideas. At first, I thought it was the outbreak of whatever virus caused the mass extinction of the space jockeys.
  4. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 05:13 PM) 30 years later. Alien takes place on planet LV426. The moon Prometheus takes place on isn't the same. That's one of the things I felt were left unanswered. It didn't bridge the movies entirely. Plus, as you can see with the arguments recently, I'm not sure exactly what the opening scene was depicting.
  5. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) I'm an Alien and Ridley Scott fanboy. I gave Prometheus a 7.5. It looked great. The Giger vibes were back. It explained all the questions about xenomorphs and space jockeys. It was entertaining and enjoyable. However, there were problems with character development. The pilot and his co pilots really needed more screen time. I didn't buy their decisions in the end, and frankly, didn't really care. I found myself questioning David's motivations vs. Theron, her father and the corporation. The score was just awful. It really took away from mood of the film. This was the biggest disappointment for me. Scott's films are driven by their score. He's usually a master at setting tone through sound. As a fan of Alien lore, it was satisfying, yet hollow. It answered a lot, but certainly not all. I still liked it a lot, though. Took me until almost the very end to realize that the old guy was Guy Pearce.
  6. If I were on that boat, I'd definitely be thinking that something horrifying was about to happen/appear.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 3, 2012 -> 08:36 PM) I was so bored after the first half hour. When Charlize wasn't on the screen you had boring actors who couldn't convinc me they were cold in the north pole. Kristen Stewart is obviously boring. But you're going to tell me that Chris Hemsworth, Bob Hoskins, Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Ray Winstone are boring (and I'm guessing bad as well because they couldn't "convince you they were cold")?
  8. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) Might want to check your facts, he was actually good last year too for a full season, and this is his first year starting, and he's been good there now too. Not sure what baseball sense that would make. Man, everything you say always seems so condescending to me.
  9. I enjoyed Snow White and the Huntsman. It wasn't great, but it kept me entertained throughout its run. That's pretty good considering the only reason I saw it was the cast for the dwarfs.
  10. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) You and one person thinking it was intentional does not make it intentional. Paulie got hit in the face accidentally, you need to get over it. He's like the kid who tries to pass off an internet blog as a reference in a paper. "I found this one guy who says that ducks are blue, and I think ducks are blue, so there."
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 31, 2012 -> 06:19 PM) I believe it means Omar is the last remaining player in MLB that has experienced playing in Old Comiskey I guess that'd be the key word. It was still worded pretty badly, though.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 31, 2012 -> 08:09 AM) The last man standing... SoxNerd ‏@SoxNerd There has been at least 1 active MLBer each yr since AT LEAST 1910 who appeared at #ComiskeyPark. #OmarVizquel is the only such man in 12 I'm sorry. What the hell does this mean?
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 26, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) Josh Brolin's impersonation of Tommy Lee Jones is absolutely uncanny. I thought the same thing just from watching the trailers.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 26, 2012 -> 11:08 AM) Aging to perfection Exactly. Thanks, everyone. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 26, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) Happy Birthday guys! Where's Milk been lately anyway? I'm still reading the site daily, just not as much time to post. I'm a few weeks away from becoming the Man.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ May 24, 2012 -> 07:07 PM) Hangover 3 will take place in Vegas and Tijuana. Won't be formulaic like last 2. Due May next year. Can't be worse than Part 2. How do you know that?
  16. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 13, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) you just gave a serious, hard-hitting review of Major League. it's um... a comedic baseball flick... i'm not sure they're generally known for their realism, depth or writing. Is a review of Mr. 3000 coming next? Exactly. But it's coming from a person who loves Fever Pitch.
  17. Can someone explain to me exactly what the aliens were and why they were helping Loki (besides the obvious fact that Earth was a stepping stone to greater things for them)? Also,
