  1. QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) I wish all of our hitters could have ABs similar to Franks. That man knows what he is doing. Thats for sure. Nobody would have a chance against us.
  2. Juan Uribe is hot, motherf***ers. Look out, because he's gonna start carrying this offense soon!
  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Nope, Frank has the power to pull almost everything he hits out. Our other hitters don't and SHOULD NOT be trying to pull everything. I'd like some runners to get on for Frank, I believe all of his homers are solo shots.
  4. A few things I've noticed: 1.) It seems like Pods is hardly ever on base anymore, he's especially not stealing bases recently. 2.) Iguchi's average seems to be falling pretty hard. 3.) This pitching is beginning to look extremely, extremely mediocre.
  5. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 15, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) If they thought that he gave the sandpaper to Kenneddy, why didn't they just search Kenneddy for it? Frank Robinson thought that. He has no authority to check Kennedy.
  6. I'm going to see this for two reasons. 1.) I like batman movies (minus Batman and Robin, of course) 2.) How could I not see a movie that has Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman in it?
  7. Wow, I used to really respect Scioscia. He's the second manager that I've lost respect for this year. The other is Tony LaRussa.
  8. So, the Twins' relievers are on 'roids. The Angels' relievers use pine tar. Looks like we've found an explanation for these great bullpens.
  9. QUOTE(whitesoxjr27 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) who is pitching for the dbacks on wed? we have a chance? We faced Shawn Estes in the first game. Shawn f***ing Estes, and he shut us down. It doesn't matter who they send against us, it never means we have a shot.
  10. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Well, the guy is 7-1. I'd say it was a pretty good move. Its not like its he's killing our payroll either. But it kind of seems like he's getting gradually worse.
  11. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) You and me both. I loved that kid in college and I still think he may land a back-up gig someday in the NFL. I believe some time in Europe would do him well. Although he doesn't have ideal size, he has all the leadership qualities and can throw very accurate passes up to 25 yards. He was apparently good. What was that record he broke in his senior year at Boise? I was pissed off the day I saw that they signed Krenzel because I knew that was the end of Dinwiddie. P.S. - His name is awesome.
  12. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) The dude simply can not play professional football, however, I wish him the best of luck in the future and you have to think this guy goes on to a sparkling medical career. I didn't think he could even play college football that well. The guy thought he was a scrambler because he had one good game against, I think, the Illini. Oh well, good riddance...he was awful. I would have much rather had Ryan Dinwiddie instead of him.
  13. Once again, things are going this team's way. This year is something special. And I still think that Gagne is having problems getting off the juice.
  14. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) the attitude today is: everyone gets blown out every once and awhile. no big deal. It's only like the second time this year, right? I'm willing to deal with the loss of the game, but Frank is another story...
  15. Well, this sucks hardcore. I really hope the injury bug doesn't get us like it did last year. We don't need this s***. And if Kenny is as disgusted as he looked, he should start figuring out every possible scenario right now. I can't believe he's already hurt again. This is f***ing ridiculous.
  16. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) That was what I was responding to. If you didn't mean it to imply that Jose from 2004 was back, I apologize. Just pointing out that he's having a day like he used to have. But I guess it does sound like I'm ripping on him. No need for apologies, let's just forget it.
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) I knew this was coming. You do realize that before tonight he hasn't given up anymore than 4 earned runs in any of his previous starts? Jose flat doesn't have it tonight. No big deal. You do realize that I was just telling the truth, right? Before tonight's game, his only chance of ever getting to the All-Star game would be his ERA. Now, he has no chance of making it. I'm not s***ting on Contreras at all. But hey, put words in my mouth all you want.
  18. Yay, 1-2-3 inning for Contreras. I'm so happy. Well, I've had enough of this game. I'm just gonna do something fun and pretend this thing never happened. Let's just say it's one of those 60.
  19. If he ever had a prayer, it's now long gone. Today he's reverting back to his old self.
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) I could go without seeing Contreras pitch to Widger again. They have no chemistry together. Yeah, I was thinking about starting an entire thread devoted to that idea. Widger should never even be allowed in the stadium the same day that Contreras pitches. Looks like Ozzie's lefty-righty matchup has bitten him in the ass, yet again. This is by far the worst game of the season, and it's so bad that it's now funny.
  21. Contreras in trouble, 1 out with runners on 1st and 2nd. He's taking a long time to throw the pitches and is throwing a lot of balls. 1-0 on Glaus.
