QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 30, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Is there ANYONE else on the bench to pinch it? ANYONE? I'll agree, this was a flat out stupid ass move. Ozzie is giving Timo every single opportunity to win his job back. Ozzie is just hoping that Timo will hit a homer at some point so he can "justify" keeping him instead of Willie.

QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) I'd really like to see Crede shorten his swing. the key is making adjustments when something doesn't work. It's TOO f***ING LATE. He'll never shorten it in time for him to help this team.
-
QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) hey a shot at me. not bad, not bad. It's a shot at anyone defending Crede. There's just no point anymore. He's a lost cause and I don't think it could be any more obvious. I hate you, Timo Perez.
-
Before anyone says anything, I'm sure it's not entirely Crede's fault. When was the last time he got a hit? He's been out of his rhythm because he's been concentrating on defense. Timo PHing for Frank. :banghead f*** everything. Iguchi is still the man.

QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) Cameron is so inconsistent, I would just love/hate to have this guy on the White Sox, depending on what streak he's on. didn't he have a 3 or 4 home run game against us 3 years ago? as for Kaz, he's a bust and I wouldn't want this team to take the chance on him. It was 4 homers, and I'm pretty sure that Jim Parque started that game in a comeback type thing. Clearly, it didn't work out. As much as I hate Crede, and I truly do, I don't want to have Kaz Matsui. I know Juggernaut is a smart guy and often knows what he's talking about, but this trade is no good.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) Now, if Crede's bunting here, I'll be pissed! Ha, I'm sure I'll be pissed at Crede no matter what he does.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) I don't think we are going to score another run in this one. I smell a loss here. Not quite yet. I have faith in Buehrle to keep his lead. But, if he does let them tie, I feel we'll lose. Only way to win, most likely, is for Buehrle to shut them down as has been the case this entire season.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) What sucks with PK now is that he's gone from being a very tough out/professional hitter to being a dead-pull hitter who will get himself out just as much as the pitcher will. PK wants more money, that's all there is to it. Guys who hit homeruns get big contracts. He knows it. We know it. To me, he's looking like Maggs II. Widger just misses one.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) That was exactly my point. If Cruddy can't hit, he had better make sure he can lay down a f***ing bunt. Otherwise, he is in the lineup for his defense alone. And it's not like his defense is stellar. He f***s up a bit too much to be considered stellar defensively.

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) Can Carl Everett play 3b? No, but he can sure swing through a 91 mph fastball.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:27 PM) Could Paulsy look any worse right now? My God. Is he playing for the Angels today? He's fat, too.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) Milkman....you know guys like myself and Jabroni agree with you. But even for Crede, this is a massive slump. I'm sorry, I'm just so frustrated that he sucks this badly. The fact that some people are so blindly defending him is only making the situation worse.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) Crede's in a massive, massive slump. He has a much better chance at getting down a successful bunt as he is actually getting a hit. What is this about a slump? Crede has consistently been this bad since he's been a starter. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to get him to not suck. He will never even be an average hitting major leaguer. He is pure garbage.
-
QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) I trust more in crede getting a hit and scoring those guys before laying a perfect bunt down.....I'd rather him try for a sac fly....seeing how he does that with no one on all the f***ing time than sac bunt which he rarely ever does A sac fly has to get out of the infield.
-
QUOTE(AirScott @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) before anyone says anything more, don't be too hard on Crede. when's the last time he bunted? f*** that, he's a major league hitter. He can't even hit regularly, he should be able to bunt. f***ing s*** ass bastard. Widger thrown out at home.

f***ING DAMNIT I HATE JOE CREDE

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 30, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) LOL @ Bengie Molina's speed. He only gets a single on that hit. He's the guy that grounded into the 5-4-3 triple play last year, right? I remember watching it. It was both sad and hilarious because he was putting everything into hustling down that line, but he was still at a regular person's walking speed...backwards.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ May 30, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Regardless of how he has played this year, its shocking to see a player who did so well last year treated so poorly. Who's scoreless inning streak were we riding last year? He has lost his control a little, and quite frankly almost every game Ive seen him got rocked the ump has been calling a tight strike zone. Thats no excuse, but the margin for error is so small in the majors that I think Shingo just needs to refine his stuff and he will be effective again. He has a no trade clause, so trading him to anywhere but the NY or the West Coast will probably be impossible (I wonder if hed waive for Seattle or SF, etc.) The reality is the Sox need to help Shingo get back on track, because otherwise we are Hermanson or bust. SB What's he done for us recently?

QUOTE(JimH @ May 29, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) If Crede gets hurt the Sox will go hard after Randa. If Crede stays healthy, they won't. And I agree Jason, the Reds would be all over a one for one swap, the White Sox won't. Then I'm gonna break Crede's leg. That's right, it's not green. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 29, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) Randa with a chronic bad back is better than a 100% healthy Cruddy. Agreed, but Crede has potential. -
