  1. Is there a way to find out how many first pitch outs a player makes? I'm sure Uribe's at the top of that list.
  2. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) Disable your popup blocker Na, it's already disabled. Thanks anyway.
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:41 PM) Nice job iguchi... Rowand lines out to third and they catch iguchi off of first. I'm not going to get on Iguchi's case, since he's the only guy on this team with a .300 BA. I'll blame Carl for swinging at the first pitch again, though.
  4. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) Lets head for the chat room all. As usual its bumpin in there. The more the merrier...... GO SOX!!!!!!! I asked this question last night, but I might as well ask again in case someone knows. Whenever I try to open up the chat room (or a lot of online games) my explorer just closes by itself. Does someone know why that happens?
  5. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) KONG WITH A DONG!!!!!!!! 3-0 GOOD GUYS!!!!!!!!! GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) DP for PK? Yay for reverse jinxes! 3-run homer for PK.
  7. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 25, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) ...of course that's what I meant. You honestly thought I was endorsing playing Widger at third? You have to be kidding me. AJ needs a day or two off. Dude has spent a ton of time behind the plate lately. EDIT: By the way, as anticipated, both Ozuna and Widger are playing tonight. Widger at third. :headshake :headshake The other guy was the one who thought that, not me.
  8. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 25, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Let's get Carlos Lee back and have him play LF. He's doing great today. He also leads the NL in RBI's and hit 2 HR's today already. He was also hitting against the God-awful Colorado Rockies. That team may be worse than the Royals. They are really bad.
  9. I heard a while ago that baseball wanted to let Shoeless Joe into the HOF, but then the Pete Rose thing happened and killed that idea.
  10. Am I the only one that doesn't understand any of that?
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) Are you saying Widger playing at 3b for Crede? I'm sorry, I just don't think that'll happen. There's too much of a phobia (often well deserved) about not leaving yourself with a backup plan at catcher in any game, given how important that position can be for a pitching staff. Playing both catchers at the same time really risks hurting 1 of them and leaving yourself without a good backup option. My suggestion would be to give Ozuna a few games at each spot, 3b and SS, and hope he can manage there while the other 2 try to get their swings back together. I think he means Widger behind the plate. It's been a while since AJP had a day off.
  12. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) Let's go with a 6-man rotation Don't let your affection for a player get in the way of a rotation that is producing. Ask yourself this. Is BMac going to do any better than Freddy G, Buehrle, Garland, Contreras, or Hernandez is doing now??? I would say no. Keep him down there. Let him develop into something special. What if he throws a perfect game with 21 K's against the Rangers.
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) I do like the lefty Maddux comparision. That is very solid. Yeah, I'm pretty awesome.
  14. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ May 25, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) Lets assure us a split today and go for the win tomorrow. Pods needs to get on base and get himself established early so we can get a run right away and give Freddy a lead to work with. It's been a while since he's stolen a base. He better get his act together.
  15. QUOTE(Wedge @ May 25, 2005 -> 10:21 AM) I'd just like to indicate Lidge blew a save against the Cubs last night so that obviously invalidates him as a good option as a closer I know you're being sarcastic, but his numbers really aren't that good for a stud closer.
  16. I always refer to him as a left-handed Greg Maddux.
  17. This was the kind of game that fools people into thinking that Crede is finally going to "break out" and "live up to his potential." I want him to do well, but I have no faith in him anymore.
  18. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Wow we had no business winning that game the way we were hittin the ball. Great job by Mark and Damaso. Neither did the Angels.
  19. QUOTE(UC76 @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:09 AM) Bump. Maybe Crede reads this forum. One day after we rip him he comes up with a couple of hits and the winning run. Maybe he was pissed off. So just in case: Crede, if you're reading, you're still a worthless bum! Yeah, that's right! There. I hope that works. This is all well and good, but I'm sure he'll go into another extended slump soon enough.
  20. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 25, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) 32-14 kids. We don't suck. You can say that again. The pitching is amazing. I just think we need to tweak the offense somehow. Besides the marvellous Gooch, we didn't do much today. Oh, and Crede didn't suck for once in a long time.
  21. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 24, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) It's hard to be happy with the offensive output recently. Exf***inactly.
  22. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ May 24, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) I assume your kidding. Yes, with just a little seriousness. I'm not happy at this moment.
  23. Honestly, why are they trying anymore? Get Buehrle out so he doesn't somehow get the loss, put Vizcaino in because that'll end the game quicker. This offense looks absolutely awful. P.S. - Bartolo Colon is fat piece of trash. There, that felt good.
