  1. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) My computer is actually right next to my tv. I just had to sit down and take that memory in, what a game that was! I hope they show Durham's game winner next, not a flubs win. The one from 2000 when THE MILKMAN scored from 2nd?
  2. I'm pretty sure that Zambrano is going to peg someone tomorrow, but that might work in our favor with Contreras on the mound. The Count is a big SOB and he can throw a baseball pretty hard. If one of our guys gets hit, the Cubs might be afraid of some retaliation. Timid Cubs are a good thing.
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 20, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) BO-f***ING-HOO!!!! Masterful performance by Freddy today!!! He pitched his best game of the season bar none. Let's go for a series win tomorrow with El Duque on the mound! I think Contreras is pitching tomorrow actually.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 20, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) Asshole cubs fans were throwing s*** (looked like peanuts?) at Jermaine when he was fielding that ball. Good thing they have pussy arms and couldn't hit him. Chants of Lets Go White Sox emerging out of Wrigley. I saw that, too. I was so pissed, I hate Cub "fans."
  5. That's 2 homers that were knocked down by the wind it seems. Phew! DLee scares the hell out of me.
  6. Juan Uribe has to f***ing learn to take a pitch once in a while. I swear he must have the most 1st-pitch outs in baseball.
  7. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 20, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) They just said on the score Carl Everett will be out in RF for tommorows game. Ozzie doens't want him getting stale on the bench. Todays game it appears to be Dye out in RF. Anybody got the starting lineups yet? f***ing damn it! That can't be good in any way. The Cubs will only have to put the ball somewhere in RF and it'll fall or be an error. Damn it...
  8. How about someone makes a sign of the Superman symbol, but has an S and P (Scott Podsednik, if you couldn't figure it out). And under it, it could say "The Man of Steal"....eh?
  9. Anyone else notice that Politte has really become a spokesperson for this team? It seems that he's getting interviewed a lot, and he's doing a damn good job of representing this team.
  10. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 11:24 AM) PBR is pretty good IMO. Add in the fact that it's only $11.99 for a 30-pack and how can you go wrong? I'd rather have a 30-pack of PBR over a 30-pack of Old Style anyday. Of course, Old Style is the absolute worst beer ever. I'm pretty sure the main ingredient is urine, but I can't be sure. Coincidence that they serve it at the urinal?
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) 30-pack of PBR? I just bought mine last night and it's chilling in the fridge. $11.99 at Jewel, you can't beat that. PBR, that's hardcore. I give you credit for being able to drink that stuff. You ever have Natty Ice? Ugh, that's awful, too.
  12. QUOTE(Cloudyguy09 @ May 19, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) even tho dye found his swing we are facing 3 righties maddux zambrano and prior so we should see everett in right No, no we shouldn't. I don't care if Dye hasn't had a single hit against righties this year, CE should not touch the outfield. He played there 1 inning this year and hurt himself (and he's terrible). All the Cubs would have to do is hit anything his way and they'd fall for hits or be errors or Carl would run into the brick wall. No Everett in the field at all...ever.
  13. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 19, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) Barrett has a sore arm. Pods will steal 6. Each game.
  14. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 19, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) If Timo is on base, that means he's playing. I don't like that. I'd much rather have Ozuna or Willie mess with his head. I was referring to last year, when Timo got into Z's head. I certainly don't want him playing this year either.
  15. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 19, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) I bet the Sox are counting on not signing Crede, due to the Boras factor...but we have Josh Fields. This doesn't really sound likely. Maybe Fields would be one of the the minor leaguers traded to the A's?
  16. QUOTE(DABearSoX @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:43 AM) Sorry iff this was posted already.... Freddy vs. Maddux Count vs. Zambrano Duque vs. Prior Zambrano pushed back a day, still feel pretty good, unless baker is compete idiot he should only get maybe 90-98 pitches....gotta work the pitch count all weekend to get to that pen If Pods gets on base, I look forward to seeing Zambrano fall apart like a 9-year-old girl on the mound. If Timo can get into his head, the idea of Pods on the bases must keep him up nights.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) Herbert Perry? You don't have to agree. I doesn't bother me too much.
  18. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) Considering the fact the White Sox haven't exactly had the most stellar history of all teams, out there, with dozens of Hall of Famers, I was wondering if Mark Buehrle has become your favorite Sox player of all time. He gets the ball and pitches it w/out bleeping around. He has a good personality with the media and fans. He has never been a brat with his contract. Mark B is creeping into my top five Sox of all time. I love Buehrle and everything, but I think my name speaks for itself.
  19. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 16, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Politte comes in and has a nice easy inning. Where has he been the last week or so and why was Cocks brought in instead of him the last 2 games. Ozzie doesn't know how to handle a pitching staff. Uses the wrong bullpen arms in certain situations, and he might be overworking the starters. I hope the starters are just hitting a rough spot and they'll get past it, but who knows.
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 16, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) Willie is worthless. We need baserunners so he actually swings on a 2-0 count. Draw a walk you piece of crap! I truly believe that he's dumb. Not bright at all. C'mon, Politte. Pitch over the walk...unlike the rest of this staff.
  21. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ May 16, 2005 -> 09:54 PM) Willie should never hit two high fly balls to RF in a month, let alone one game, utterly incomphrensible. Nice shot AROW, come on Paulie, need a knock here. Willie was here last year, so he's still stuck in the "homer or nothing" mentality when you're behind. Someone should punch him in the face any time he hits a fly ball that's not a sacrifice fly.
  22. Hmm, that Viz thing turned out well. Let me try something else. The offense is going to lay down, and the pitching is going to give up many more runs.
  23. Great, now Viz is going to implode.
