  1. QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) And that's why Cliff deserves the role of being our righty set-up man if Hermanson is our closer. 7 pitches for 7 strikes. It's not often that we see that from a Sox reliever.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) Another horrendous AB for everyone's favorite Does anyone not hate him? I really, really do hate that guy. Why not Anderson? Why not even Giambi? He always has a high OBP.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) Cliff pitched great. Last year Vis threw 95-97. Now he barely hits 93. Overuse of the slider? I hope that's the reason. All of the rumors that I've heard say that the majority of steroid users were relief pitchers. And Uribe makes an out on the first pitch again.
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) Man Politte is filthy this year... He looks great EDIT: damn last pitch was 98 YES! I was afraid you talked too early.
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) Fly out to right makes it 5-2 sox. Much better than a grandslam.
  6. Anyone know how fast Fossum throws? I've seen this guy shut down the Red Sox twice in relief.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) wow, so the key to Dye is pitch him inside, he cant hit those. Dye can hit?!
  8. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) El Duque is at 85 pitches. This better be his last at bat since we need to keep him injury free Give Botch, Vizcaino and Walker the 7/8/9 unless hell breaks loose in one of them You know he's gonna start one more inning.
  9. QUOTE(traydragen @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) We should call up Jeremy Giambi and bench Timo's ass You might be joking, but that guy can flat out get on base.
  10. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Even if Frank gets healthy we better upgrade one other position offensively. I would have to say 3B if Crede shows his earlier streak was a fluke Crede's batting .294 now.
  11. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) Note to self: get pre-occupied with work more often... (I was taking a call and working on something else when I came back and read about PK's double.) Ha, I went to grab a bite to eat. That works.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Hollins steals 2nd easy. he was halfway there before Hernandez released the pitch. Why is he even bothering to try to hold the runners? They're taking bases like it's nothing.
  13. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) If finals stress you out that bad I wish you luck with any kinda of further education. I can't wait to see you when the sox lose 5 in a row, which they will, its just a matter of time, it'll happen at least once over this 162 game season. Only the past two days or so makes up half the time you've been here. I'm just saying look at the whole season, look at what they've done, look at the pitching, look at the pathetic offense. To me this gives me reasons to be optimistic not pessimistic. How long can our middle of the order guys bat below .200? It just wont remain, it can't. They will start hitting again, our pitching will remain solid, and we will continue winning at a good clip. To that I say, Go Sox, 24 - 9, 34 straight games with a lead! I am pretty optimistic, I just get frustrated easily. And finals don't stress me out that much, but I curse a lot so it seems like I'm really pissed. I know this team will continue to do great this year.
  14. QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) oh man you sound really stressed out :rolly gimme a break so your saying the 2 biggest stresses in your life are finals and the white sox losing a game or 2.....hahahaha finals is just a fancy name for tests I never said it was the most stressful thing in my life.
  15. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Who the hell are you? You've been here for a week, posted roughly 40 times a day, and have been ridiculously pessimistic. You need to either get a life, learn to look at the positive things, or just not post as much. You are bring me down man, we are 24-9 What? It's just like saying f***, or f*** Me, or What the f***. Besides, my posts have only been negative for the last day or two, and deservedly so. It isn't easy to watch your team suck and have to take finals at the same time.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) By the time we would release him (when Frank gets back), he would only be owed about 600-700K. As of now, I'm just rooting for a season-ending injury for Timo. The Pirates just released Benito Santiago, and he was making over $2 million. If the f***in Pittsburgh Pirates can cut that much money, we can cut half. Why not bring up Anderson as the 4th OF? He can honestly not do much worse.
  17. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) $1M says no one wants him. Cut him! It's only 1 mil, that's not too much in baseball terms. Damn it, I hate him.
  18. I'm so aggravated with half the players on this team. Konerko needs to sit his ass on the bench for a few games, along with Dye. As someone else already said, I hate Timo more than anyone else I can remember. He doesn't need to find himself on the bench; he needs to be cut. $1 million isn't that much to eat.
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) God I hate Timo Perez. He gets picked off of 2nd, going to third on first movement by Brazelton. Why is this guy still on the team? He's done nothing, absolutely nothing, to deserve to be here. Ughhhhhhhhhh
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) sac-fly, ok ok, lets get some singles though folks. One in the gap here would be nice Paulie Single and Konerko don't belong near each other. If it isn't a homer, PK isn't hitting it.
  21. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) "Hang wif' em'" by Aaron there. Get's one across. I'd love to see at least two here. That might be wishful thinking.
  22. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Aaron, no bunting please. Bases loaded, 1 out, two runs should score. Atleast two. 0 outs.
  23. Iguchi is so f'n good. Now it's time to score some runs...please.
