  1. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) wow, weird. What happened?
  2. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) Crede drilled. Did it look intentional?
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Keep Hermanson in for the 9th! I agree.
  4. QUOTE(Reddy @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) ok good, but now ozzie, please no more MB Well, Buehrle's only got 99 pitches. It seems that, in Ozzie's book, anything less than 100 is enough to start another inning.
  5. QUOTE(Reddy @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) pauly 'homer or bust' konerko Bust. :headshake
  6. QUOTE(Reddy @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) scotty totally running against these guys This is the exact type of situation where we have to use our ability to play smallball. Gotta produce a run here, and we have a good chance to do that with Pods getting a leadoff walk.
  7. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) I want vizcy in for the 7th. I'd rather see Politte in a one-run game.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) Also, was there a particular reason that Iguchi isn't playing today? Or is it just Ozzie trying to get Lopez a start? I think they're just getting Iguchi some rest. He deserves it.
  9. QUOTE(Reddy @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) YES! only 2 runs were earned according to gameday They've changed it twice now. It's too bad unearned runs still count during the game.
  10. Ah, damn it! Buehrle walks Menechino. Men on 1st and 2nd, no outs. :banghead
  11. Chacin's got 91 pitches now. I guess he'll be out there for one more inning.
  12. QUOTE(Reddy @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:28 PM) i dont agree that all those were earned... Wait, now it's changed. 3 earned.
  13. QUOTE(Yoda @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) How many of those runs were earned? Time for the offense to keep hitting... All of them, according to gameday.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) What does he throw? He used to throw 100 mph.
  15. QUOTE(JimH @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Good memory, it was raining and I think the game got called early but the game was official. I do remember that it was an opposite field shot, too. Buehrle in some trouble here.
  16. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 8, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) Willie Harris on the Aflac question. I believe Miguel Olivo did it, too. Didn't another Sox guy do it, too? EDIT: And, by do it, I mean hit a homer in your first major league AB. I think the game where Olivo hit that homer got rained out before it could reach 5 innings, so it didn't count or something.
  17. Lopez with an RBI single. I'm beginning to feel like a Twins' fan. We can just call up some random minor leaguer, and he'll contribute to the franchise.
  18. Man, AJ really worked for that hit. Runners on the corners, 1 out. Is there a player on this team that anyone doesn't like? Well, besides maybe Timo...
  19. Yeah, but you know what else is really good? FOUR steals in a game!
  20. Guys, Garland is now 6-0! Who woulda thunk it?
  21. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Was there ever any doubt? GIMMIE A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Hell Yeah!!!!
  22. If the Sox sweep tomorrow, the Blue Jays will be at .500. You just know that Mariotti will complain that we're only beating bad/mediocre teams, while ignoring the fact that the Sox are a big reason some teams aren't doing so well.
