  1. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 4, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) Wow Lew Ford smoked one but the Twins lose. It's a shame that we can't seem to get that guy out.
  2. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ May 4, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) Konerko took a hanger down the middle and then weakly fouled off another one in his wheelhouse. Bench him already. Man, he's batting under .200 now. Suddenly the Mendoza line is looking pretty sweet from his position. I know that PK is probably the streakiest hitter in baseball, I just hope he has a really hot streak coming soon.
  3. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 4, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) What is the attendance today? No offense to you, but who cares? You know, besides John Kruk.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Passed ball. I think I speak for all of us when I say, "Dag nabbit!"
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Can Dye/Everett play first-base? I assume Dye would be able to, I mean, he played SS... Just asking, because, well, if Thomas gets back and it's going like this, you really can't bench any of Dye-Rowand-Podsednik. Konerko, at this point, is the weak link in our lineup... Let's put a positive spin on this thing. About three days ago, we wanted Dye out of the lineup. It seems like he's coming out of his funk, so maybe PK will soon, too.
  6. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ May 4, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) ROFL @ that play. What happened?...stupid gameday
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 4, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) No mentioned of the fact that he led the league in steals. Whats his OBP this season thus far? Average - 253 OBP - .352 His OBP is almost .100 points higher than his average. That's pretty good, especially with all the sacrifices, like the other guy said.
  8. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Get used to internet acronyms around here... I know a lot of them, I've just never seen that one.
  9. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 4, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) Actually they did show Iguchi's HR on the "touch em all" spot. Also it was said by I think Karl Ravich First, what does TIFWIW mean? Second, that is a great avatar.
  10. They really should have shown Iguchi's homer. I mean, it's his first ML homer. But then again, it's ESPN and they despise us. They do their best to show how bad the White Sox are...when we're the best team in baseball right now.
  11. Too many players to grade, so I'll just do the best and worst: Hermanson A+ Iguchi A+ Garland A+ Dye D- Konerko D
  12. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) What would have happened to this forum if Shingo had blown this one run lead today and we had lost the game? Ozzie showed lots of balls to put Shingo in there, trying to instill some confidence in his closer from last year. But what if it had backfired.....I bet this forum would have "asploded" Maybe we better start accepting the idea that Ozzie may know more about baseball than all of us?
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) I know only W's count but this record is pretty friggin amazing. The fact that we are the ONLY team in the HISTORY of MLB to have a lead in 26 straight games is one to definitely look back on! In order to accomplish this feat: 1. Cannot get shutout 2. Must have solid starting pitching 3. Must get on the board early the majority of the time And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Congrats 2005 CWS!! Not exactly. We're the first team to have a lead in the FIRST 26 games of the season. Some team could have had a longer streak at some point. They could have just done it in the middle of the season.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:12 PM) I loved Herbert for that exact reason, he was clutch. And he OWNED a milk farm!
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 3, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Your handle rocks Hey, it's the truth. The milkman always delivers.
  16. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ May 3, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) The only one I care about is the W/L record. We're doing pretty well in that respect, too.
  17. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 3, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) That's great Mark. He's throwing floaters up there. So, Garland's the ace now?
  18. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 3, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Welcome aboard Mr. Perry!!! Love the name! Thanks...and who didn't love the milkman? On a serious note, PK and Dye better start pulling their weight soon. And that's a lot of weight for Konerko to be pulling (couldn't resist).
  19. QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 3, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) Keep predicting and delivering, Herbert Perry. How'd you know who I was?!
