  1. With RISP, Perez is hitting .143, when the game is close and late, he is hitting .214. Now, Harris is better with a .273 with RISP and worse when it is close and late at .167. Now, lets look at the magical OBP Harris: RISP: .385 Close and Late: .286 Perez: RISP: .200 Close and Late: .214
  2. I thought it was b/c it's easier to avoid tags when stealing bases. That was just a guess.
  3. Ughh, Fox has Red Sox/Angels and MLB.tv is blacked out for me as well.
  4. Here is a possible, although not probable option, trade for Billy Wagner. It gives us a true closer and makes the game at the most a 7 inning game, maybe 6.
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) Except Ted Williams never cheated. Well, I think that Ted Williams and Barry Bonds are very similiar, in more than just their numbers. Williams was despised by most baseball fans of the time.
  6. QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jun 4, 2005 -> 12:17 PM) I know it's a crapshoot, but it was Barry Bonds. Love him or like most, hate him, he has been an awesome player, probably the best overall player in the past 20 years. Probably the best player since Ted Williams.
  7. I like Podsednik Iguchi Thomas Konerko Rowand Dye Pierzynski Crede Uribe Thomas should be 3rd b/c of his high OBP. Also, I really like this idea of Dye learning to play 1st for next year.
  8. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) Just foul. You have to be kidding me. The ball goes fair, and I buy world series tickets.
  9. I live in Wisconsin, so my brewer friends would call him Scotty Po Po.
  10. I've always thought that fans should only vote for the top 5 players in each League. That way, the 5 most popular players in each league would start and that would free up more room for deserving players.
  11. Every team has someone you hate, even your favorite team. I hate Timo Perez.
  12. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 14, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) 3 guys out between 3rd and home, I love the aggresiveness but it's gotta stop somewhere. Hopefully we'll still come out on the winning side though. 1 run scored b/c of it (Podsednik off Iguchi's double)
  13. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 14, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) I'd give him the run too considering there were two outs, the ball wasn't hit that hard, and AJ has had problems with plays at the plate this year. I'd give it to them as well to send a point to the fans. If you are grabbing a ball to help out your team, the Umps will call in favor of the opposition.
  14. I have a month subscription for MLB.tv. I'm a big fan of it.
  15. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 10, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) The good news is the twinkies beat a real team. Man, the twins scare me so much.
  16. QUOTE(quickman @ May 10, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) either that or he just sucks this year It is an odd year, Vizcaino is only good in even years.
  17. I don't agree with the stereotype, but it is there. I've heard it from a lot of baseball fans. The incidents of fans on the field sure didn't help either, or the disco demoliation night. I would listen to the radio if I could, but I have to watch the game on MLB.tv, so no radio option.
  18. QUOTE(JimH @ May 10, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Say what? He sounds like an idiot...and White Sox fans are often stereotyped as idiots.
  19. I can pretty much guarantee you that we will only have 2-3 representatives, none of them voted in.
  20. I'm pissed that MLB.tv is broadcasting the Tampa Bay broadcast, not the Comcast one. Ventura is my favorite player and I was really excited to hear him. Personally, I thought DJ and Pall did alright. I'm not a Hawk fan, I don't like his catch phrases and I think he sounds like an idiot most of the time. I think he only perpetuates the poor image White Sox fans have. Anyways, hopefully today or tomorrow, MLB.tv broadcasts the Comcast feed, although I doubt it.
  21. I better earn my stripes here...so some homework: Kevin Walker 05 AAA Game Log: *bad* April 8: 0.1 IP / 0 hits / 2 runs / 2 bb / 1 k April 9: 0.2 IP / 1 hit / 1 run / 0 bb / 1 k / 1 hr *good* April 11: 1.0 IP / 0 hits / 0 runs / 0 bb / 2 ks April 14: 1.0 IP / 0 hits / 0 runs / 0 bb / 0 ks April 17: 2.0 IP / 2 hits / 0 runs / 0 bb / 1 k April 19: 0.2 IP / 1 hit / 0 runs / 1 bb / 1 k April 21: 2.0 IP / 0 hits / 0 runs / 1 bb / 3 ks April 24: 1.0 IP / 1 hit / 0 runs / 1 bb / 0 ks April 25: 0.1 IP / 0 hits / 0 runs / 0 bb / 1 k *bad* April 28: 1.0 IP / 3 hits / 3 runs / 0 bb / 2 ks / 2 hrs April 30: 0.2 IP / 0 hits / 1 run / 1 bb / 1 k May 3: 1.0 IP / 1 hit / 1 run / 1 bb / 2 ks / 1 hr *good* May 5: 0.1 IP / 1 hit / 0 runs / 1 bb / 1 k May 8: 1.0 IP / 1 hit / 0 runs / 1 bb / 1 k He started off the year pitching very bad. This infalted his ERA to start out with. After that he pitched 7 scoreless innings, followed by three poor outings. Finally, as of late, he has been pitching well. It appears he will be either lights out when he comes in, or give up the long ball. Basically, he fits the description of an average reliever. I don't have much of a problem calling him up, especially the way that Ozzie uses his bullpen.
  22. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) I might sound like an idiot after this, but what movie is that from? Punch-Drunk Love
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) WOW This looks really, really bad. I sure hope Zaun is alright. I do too. This is the risk of trying to break up the double play, you are just as likely to get hurt as the fielder.
  24. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 8, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) btw great avatar and great movie. hey, Thanks. I know it's not common to go with a non-baseball avatar, but I'm a film major (graduating in a week). It truly is a great film by my favorite director.
