Can I just say who the Bears take? -
The Sox have the best pitching staff in baseball. Please don't tell me that the A's and Cubs have better 1-2 combinations. Buehrle and Contreras are better than anything the Cubs can throw out there.

Carlos Lee To Cubs Deal Imminent?????
White Sox Josh replied to South Side Fireworks Man's topic in The Diamond Club
The Brewers are trying to make the playoffs this year. They aren't trying to rebuild. This is a bunch of BS. -
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Mar 22, 2006 -> 10:51 PM) It's kind of implied that he left the scene when I said he'll get off scott-free unless he's found. She was in my english class, and a social worker came in and started talking for a while about this whole thing. It was really wierd at school today. Who is your english teacher?
-
One of my friends was going out with her.
-
The worst part of this is that she wasn't drunk or wasn't high or anything like that. Most of these teen car accidents are caused from drunk driving. This was not her fault and there really wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. I knew her a little bit and I was in a class with her sister. Both were very nice and it is a damn shame this had to happen.
-
Her sister was in one of my classes. They are identical twins. Her sister was always nice to me. My prayers go out to her family.

I am in.

QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) proves Ozzie was right, that he sucks. what are you talking about? He deserved a chance and he looked very good in his 1 inning of work. He was scheduled for 2 or 3 more games however he never got into any of them thanks to Ozzie not willing to giv ehim a chance.

White Sox Acquire Infielder Alex Cintron
White Sox Josh replied to OfficerKarkovice's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) Are you sure about that? At least with the Cubans, the Yankees keep putting that clause in which makes the team cut them if there's no contract signed to get around the 7 year arbitration period. I haven't a clue if we did the same thing with the Gooch, but I wouldn't be surprised if we did. yes. They might have to put him on waivers though. It was a different situation with Contreras because they put a clause in his contract saying that he would be a free agent. -
WTF? Munoz had a 1-2-3 inning with 2 K's and a fly out. He didn't get another opportunity and now we might lose him to another team. They should of at least given him a chance.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 8, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) We still have the option on next year with Gooch. yes and after that Iguchi is still only arbitration eligible. -
White Sox Acquire Infielder Alex Cintron
White Sox Josh replied to OfficerKarkovice's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Good Move. Cintron is one of the best utility infielders in baseball. Wonder if this means that Mackowiak is gonna be the starting CF. -
DAMNIT! We are gonna lose the Pre Season Championship!

QUOTE(RME JICO @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Here is the LOOGY Battle breakdown so far: IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA WHIP J Lopez 2 1/3 3 0 0 0 2 0 0.00 1.29 A Munoz 1 0 0 0 0 2 0 0.00 0.00 C Bentz 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0.00 1.00 P Reynoso 1 0 0 0 2 0 0 0.00 2.00 R Tucker 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0.00 1.00 S Randolph 1 1 1 1 2 1 0 9.00 3.00 C Malone (L,0-1) 1 2 3 3 3 2 0 27.00 5.00 A Almanza (L,0-1) 1-3 4 4 4 0 0 0 36.00 12.00 Lopez has been really effective and four others have yet to let up an earned run. It is still way to early but I figure Almanza and Malone are out of the running. it is between Munoz and Lopez. Bentz might be a dark horse however I doubt he makes the team.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) I guess Tim Redding is starting tomorrow's game, not McCarthy... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws good move. This will only help build up his confidence.
-
I think it will be Munoz. He is out of options. Lopez they can just send down to the minor leauges because he signed a minor league contract. If Munoz pitches the way he has been the job is his.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) LOL. Nice pitching performance from Broadway. I'm glad I hold the philosophy of everyone is a bust until proven otherwise. That way, I'm never disappointed; or endlessly reassuring myself of someone's potential. Didn't Shingo have a bad Spring Training in 2004. I know everybody was calling him a bust and that Kenny should release him. I said after Spring Training was over that he would be the closer by June or July. Look at what he did for the Sox that year. I am sure Broadway had to of been nervous considering it is his first major league outing. He will be fine.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) Did Kenny seriously say that? Can you post a link? Yikes... :banghead BTW, why, again, was the .217 BA thing brought up? I can't believe he's being bashed about that. The offense was CLEARLY better when he was in the lineup, scoring something like a full run more per game with him in the lineup. Damnit... I told myself I'd stop posting in this thread. I almost threw up when I read that. Click Here -
