Blue Jays (13-6) @ White Sox (9-8) 1:05 pm CSNHD

Brian is hitting. This is the most consecutive starts he has had at the major league level. -
Does wise have a spot on the roster still?
earthshiner replied to soxfan420's topic in Pale Hose Talk
wise certainly seems to have lost his starting spot. I think he has a spot over owens. If Nix replaces Owens on the roster then things will be interesting -

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 12:58 PM) I think everyone would take Anderson batting .300 unless he stole someone's girlfriend or something. for some reason I think I'd be okay with that. -
he is just a monster with the bases juiced

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 11:15 AM) They should sign Pedro Martinez IMO and quit fooling around. We haven't seen any success from a number of lon releif candidates. Maybe Pedro could start and either Bart or Jose work long releif and build up their arm strengthI wouldn't mind seeing some sort of rotation with these three. The problem would be getting the three on board with this idea.

QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) I have 3. None of those do a whole lot for me, but I dig BA's color... I would also NEVER EVER get a Sox tattoo. I love the team, but not that much haha I don't have a tattoo but that would be about the only thing I'd get. My love of the sox is about the one thing I can't see ever changing.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 10:13 PM) He needs to gain 5 mph on his fastball. Cooper can't exactly work that. well if thats the case then it would just be same old same old
-
why not. can't be worse than we've seen so far. Plus Coop knows what Viz needs to do.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 24, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) Am I the only one that knew that wasn't real? no, I got it right away.

I might sound a little biased here but I think these are the best in baseball. They certainly up there in the all time category too. If they made any change I wouldn't mind getting rid of the script on the road unis.

there is something about this thread that I find a little sacrilegious.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 21, 2009 -> 11:02 PM) It's basically 50/50 as far as I'm concerned (although he had a ridiculously good May last year). You simply never really know what Jose you're gonna get. life's like a box of Jose's?
-
well let's wait until anderson stops hitting .300 with a .417obp as a starter before we look for a replacement.

TCQ eats baseballs for breakfast. Under a belief that everybody else does, he hits as many as he can into the seats in order to try and end world hunger. Carlos Quentin: Humanitarian of the Year.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 10:26 PM) Is anybody else getting excited about Paulie's production so far as well? I almost started a Paulie thread but don't want to hex him. Also it seems AJP and Thome have hit well the days after their days off. I'm all for resting them against some lefties. I can't get excited about Paulie unless he continues it into the second half. He usually is a one half player. Not every year but he has burned me too many times to get excited this early.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 16, 2009 -> 11:56 PM) 10 years, 171 homers, 219 doubles, 741 RBIs, .274 BA, 5 gold gloves. The states speak for themselves. Also, WOW.... I was looking over RVs career stats, I never really realized how quickly he fell off the map after he left the sox. He has one good year with the Mets, but then his batting average plummeted. Still hot for good power, but that was about it. I wonder how much of that could be attributed to his leg injury. That was nasty stuff there. How long until Q! replaces Horlen at 20. A week?

holy hell!!!

We all laugh at ozzie when he sends this lineup out there but it produces for some reason. Kudos Ozzie.

It seems the Twins are always built around and depend on a tight core of players. Without Hunter in 05 they tanked. Without Mauer, Baker, and Boof and they have not been too good. Last year the Sox were without Crede, God, and Count and we still pushed into the playoffs. The twins never really seem that ready to absorb a key injury.
-
theres a part of me that wants to get jerseys of the entire 05 roster but then I remember they cost money.

If Pods gets recalled, will Fields change his #?
earthshiner replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hopefully we can add 47 to that list soon -

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 05:09 PM) Okay, here's a list of available numbers not assigned to someone on the 40 man roster or a coach below #59... 1, 6, 27, 30, 33, 35, 39, 49, 51, 58 any reason why Ricky Seilheimer was the last sox player to wear #6? -
