  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 09:45 PM) How does Eaton not get hurt? The dude's falling and sliding all the time. its called baseball
  2. hahahaha Flowers is awesome today. aside from his defense.
  3. are the scout seat fans always this distasteful with their commentary? or are they just staing liquored up deal with the weather? Holy s*** Adam Eaton!
  4. hell yeah! good pitch choice, terrible location
  5. yah baby!!!! good thing he was batting second ahha
  6. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) Come on Semien....just work that walk...WORK. THAT. WALK. this
  7. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 09:18 PM) Assists don't equal good arm. It simply means more teams are willing to run on you. Soriano throws like a girl. Soriano does not have a great arm. I'm not sure if he ever did. and by that i do mean he throws like a girl.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) So in the 8th inning yesterday, Dunn made the score 5-4. The Sox eventually won in extras. Today, in the 5th inning, Dunn made the score 5-4. The Sox eventually win 14-6. Great Idea
  9. That was a no doubter. Apparently Hughes thinks he throws 98 mph.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) Eye opening performance in RF today. Have to keep reminding myself these guys are young. Age is not an excuse for catching a flyball.
  11. Damn Avi. hopefully its just cold weather getting to him..I can't watch that s*** all season.
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 02:19 PM) PITCHf/x says Deduno threw 7 fastballs, but it's hard to tell because all of his fastballs always have sink or run (or both) to them. He doesn't really throw a straight 4-seamer. And a guy with Deduno's stuff is going to make a lot of guys look really bad. Nobody squared a ball up against him, and Eaton looked even worse. That's a guy I'd really like to see the Sox get if the Twins ever let him go. he had good stuff.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 02:30 AM) He shouldn't be hitting cleanup, but the Sox offense is bad. Deduno obviously feared him enough today to pitch around him, and it ultimately led to the game winner. Abreu is a far superior hitter to Dunn, but acting like Dunn is a complete chump up there is wrong. I have only seen two of Semien's ABs, so, if we're making judgments based on 2 games, I can make judgments based on 20% of his plate appearances. The first I saw was his last appearance on Monday. In June, July, or August, that ball is gone or off the wall. He scalded that ball. Today, he got rung up on a perfect curveball on the black when he was looking for a fastball. Again, it's 2 out of 10, but Semien has looked fine to me. He appears to be seeing the ball well and has a plan at the plate. I love him already, and he's 0 for 10. there were two strikes on him with a man on second, and he strikes out looking. And why would he be looking fastball? I only saw deduno throw one fastball the entire inning, which was the first pitch to Dunn. he also looked bad that entire at bat.
  14. Great Win! Lets get the sweep! It sucked that Minnesota pretty much gave us the victory but I only saw the 11th inning, so maybe that doesn't tell the whole story. I also thought it was hilarious that Adam Dunn had no idea that the winning run was scoring as he was pimping his walk. Thats okay though, I'd rather he just be focused on hitting, and he did have a good at bat. Go Sox!
  15. So lower prices to get more attendance doesn't mean more profits??? shocking
  16. General opinion on Alexei at soxtalk has not been good at all. Now the board seems to think alexei can attract a top 3 prospect from a team. If that is the case, I'm all for it, but I think if hahn wants to keep his job, he'll need to turn this ship around quickly, and he'll need alexei to do it.
