  1. The real question is whether or not I should drop him from my fantasy baseball team now.
  2. QUOTE (Soxpranos @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) Huge problems, the kid is sent to AAA . How many 20 year olds do you see start at the AAA level? By problems, I meant swing problems, one's that are glaring enough to where its clear that he needs more than just more at bats.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 18, 2009 -> 07:27 PM) If by problem you mean Josh Fields blocking him, then yes. Good point, I'm just anxious to watch viciedo play. Although Fields can be a beast as well.
  4. Viciedo must had some huge problems to send him down after 25 at bats, while at the same time hitting homeruns over 400 feet to opposite field. I'm interested in seeing how he does down at the lower levels, hopefully this will piss him off enough to get his s*** together, even though I know he is still young.
  5. Soccer is a worthless game, unless you need a book to read while your kids are supervised. This guy's article is rediculous though.
  6. my pick to click is gonna be josh kroeger. cmon josh
  7. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 5, 2009 -> 04:23 AM) ...just my logic, but seems likely to me. Chicago A.J. and Corky A right handed bat to back up Pierzynski. Corky's also the most experienced anyway. Charlotte Cole Armstrong and Chris Stewart Cole starts, Stew backs up. Two work horses, who plays most? Lefty, righty platoon perhaps? Both are equally adept hitters. B'ham Flowers and Lucy Flowers starts, Lucy backs up. Lucy is the perfect person to mentor Flowers' development and he may be capable of starting once or twice a week. He's tough as nails, so if anybody can at least be a back up catcher after dislocating a knee, Donny can. I saw him take a ball in the dirt off the cup on a cold night and keep playing. Plus, he played the next night. Not that big of a deal. You walk it off. I'm not sayin the guy ain't tough though.
  8. QUOTE (rowand's rowdies @ Mar 3, 2009 -> 03:42 PM) Marquez looked good against the Cubs, I was there. He's got a strange delivery that looks like it fools hitters. Almost like they expect him to throw faster. Then again, that's usually how the Cub's hitters look - fooled. I can't see anything out of the ordinary with his delivery.
  9. Is he high? I'm not sure I like this guy. I understand not saying anything risky that might get him in trouble but It sounds like this guy is like a mix between Tim Tebow and Milhouse. Although it's not as bad if he pitches good.
  10. QUOTE (ChesterCopperpot @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 08:12 PM) This might not belong here, but I had a little chuckle while reading this. awesome, I've always loved that picture someone made with uribe's homerun pose that allows him not to fall over, and then it says hasta luego beisbol..classic
  11. times like these where I wish I knew how to make a sig and use photo shop. Viciedo is gonna be the s***.
  12. i don't know if this was already asked talked about but does anyone know how alexei did at shortstop?
  13. QUOTE (scenario @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) I heard a good interview with Coop where he explained the logic... He basically said the ball doesn't break as well in the dry thin air of Arizona, so if guys focus on it... trying to get pitches to move, they start screwing up their routine. So, he'd rather have them focus on basic mechanics and hitting their targets until later in the spring. coop is the man
  14. QUOTE (scenario @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 10:06 PM) First few outings each spring Coop usually has guys focus on fastballs and getting their location down. So, it's really hard to judge where pitchers are the first two weeks. thats true, they did the same thing with floyd last spring, just havin him toss it up there, and every one was wondering they were so high on him going into the season.
  15. should have bunted...choose for yourself whether that should be green or not i guess
  16. BS in Finance and Economics come december, but for some reason I am taking on the position to be the GM of a Run Down Golf Course this summer.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) They say you can tell how the season's going to go by how the first at bat goes. nice

    Films Thread

I saw rocknrolla the other day, I expected it to be a lot like snatch, with a lot of action. There was not a lot of action but I thought it was a great movie.
