  1. I think theres other things we could add, now if they'd just give us Guardado for say.. Timo. Its not like I'd say no.
  2. We have 2 pretty good Lefties in the pen.. why another?
  3. SCHWEET!!! Mike, you da Man.
  4. That soon could rival Minnesota's Pen
  5. I hope we dont have to lose any bullpen arms, I love our Bullpen with addition of Jenks.
  6. BMac, Jenks. That'd do it. Even though parting with Jenks would bring tears to my eyes, that curve knocked me out of my seat.
  7. Thats not Kenny, Kenny gets it done before the scrum before the deadline. Barring Loaiza for Count.
  8. I'm beginning to like the idea of Schmidt, Buehrle, Garcia, Garland, Count. Thats just sick.
  9. That Ankle won them a series. In retrospect it was a good decision, and Curt probably thinks it was too, but a major risk considering if they didnt win theyd lose Schilling. I think Schilling will retire in the pen, which is perfectly fine.
  10. Yea, but I'd be willing to call this the high-point of the season. I dont think things could be any better.
  11. Jenks wont be the Setup man, Politte is pitching better than any reliever in baseball if you look at the Stats (barring Cordero, that dudes a f***ing beast).
  12. Anybody notice the strange sense of negativity, the need to change and shakeup the roster a little? The talk of Jason Schmidt? The obsession with Eric Chavez? The fantasies of Joe Randa and Roger Clemens? It seemed as if 1/2 wasnt satisified and wanted winning, but more of it (if thats possible), while the other 1/2 was enjoying the run and wanted things to just run thier course. Arguments got heated and the board started a major split, Sox Nation in general had the same thing. We all loved the winning, but we were getting spoiled, both 1/2's found it more interesting to argue the things that could go wrong than argue who we'll be playing in the playoffs, and what matchups we should exploit. Then came Pods. It unified a splitting Sox fanbase behind one giant need to get the catalyst of the new baseball into the All-Star game. It put the entire board in a good mood, even Hawk and DJ got thier props in! How many negative posts have thier been since Pods started reeling in votes? Not many. I think Podsednik did much more than just get into a game that could directly affect what happens to the team. It unified a fanbase behind one simple cause; get this kid to the game, where he belongs. We beat Derek Jeter, the face of baseball. We beat the Yankees, the most dominating sports franchise in History. Us, the White Sox, who many think doesnt even have control of thier own town. So, thanks Podsednik. Thank you Ozzie. Thank you Mark. And Thank you Soxtalk.com, we set aside or idiotic needs to argue with each other and focus on what we have, the best team in f***ing baseball.
  13. I really want to win this. It means much more now.
  14. I dont think the MLB cares as much about the Yankees and Red Sox as you think. If they did try to do that, and somebody blew the whistle from the inside, they whole "This One Counts" kind of thing would be thrown for a spin. Theyre smarter than to do that, off the heels of steroids they want to appear honest.
  15. This is the MLB's last shot at getting the face of baseball into the game. If Scotty-Pods wins this, Jeter will look like an idiot.
  16. I've been living under a rock i guess. What the hell BBTN?
  17. Its gonna suck having to go to work..
  18. I never believed. When they traded Lee I thought they'd bottom feed. On April 30th when we took the best record in baseball, I knew we had something special.
  19. what time Central does it stop?
  20. See. Pods actually does belong because he could be part of the post-steroid type of baseball players. Wouldn't it be appropriate to take the catalyst of the new post-steroid era baseball and put him in the All-Star game? Scotty-Pods belongs more than Mark, Jon or Paulie (Not taking anything away from any of them of course) because he may not be the best player. But he's a glimpse into whats going to be common place in 5 years.
  21. I cannot and will not let Jeter win this. I was watching Baseball on ESPN and the announcers called it a travesty to not have Derek Jeter in an All-Star game. I am going to vote until my arm falls off, this s*** is important.
