New York is like LA-west. Insufferable group of people living who come from across the country to live in their cherished yuppie disneyland. I dont hate yuppies even, but christ give them an entire city and it becomes just so unbelievably boring. I know they did it because they had some issues with crime and garbage, but they went way overboard. Take the north side of Chicago, multiply everything that sucks about it by 1000, give it some amazing architecture and you have New York City. I was so let down, I went in expecting the concrete jungle but instead got a really giant subway network connecting a bunch of s*** that was almost completely identical. Oh man, and Williamsburg... please someone just drop 5 or 6 daisy cutters on that place, do the world a favor.

If the Bulls play poorly enough to lose to Boston, they'll probably play poorly enough to lose to Indiana too. Honestly, its all on the Bulls to lose either of the first series... be very difficult for any of those teams to straight outplay them when were firing on all cylinders. -

Its not about the 1st round matchup, its about the 2nd round. I would much, much, much rather play the Celtics than the Pacers. Let Miami get beat up by Indiana. -
Well perfect games are a lot of fun.

Hayes is going to a monster on ST. Basically Corey Graham's replacement.

Its a really bad, bad, bad forum. Its never thought provoking, its full of people rooting for scandal and, for the internet, the political correctness here is out of control. I say destroy it on behalf of making the world a better place. -
I work over there, the red, orange and green lines at Roosevelt are pretty close. Plus they have those express busses from Union/Ogilvie and the water taxi (which I work for) that can haul a good 750-1000 people. Even then, its a madhouse over there every Sunday, despite the fact that its a relatively easy place to get to.

There is a south shore stop at 11th street.

Like where? The lakefront location is awesome, its in a park, on the lakefront, perfect view of downtown, close to the metra lines and interstates and right off a huge transfer station on the L. The truth is that Chicago just does not have the transportation infastructure anywhere in the city to allow a stadium any larger than what the Bears have now. A suburb would be even more nightmarish. As for the schedule, Bears dont have any stretches of games that look too difficult in a row. Their tough games are pretty well broken up.
-
Assuming the nosebleeds are relatively cheap by NFL standards the Bears could fill a 200k stadium if one were to exist. The problem is the parking and road infrastructure off Roosevelt can barely handle what the Bears have now, you say the Red Line but that thing turns into craziness over the baseball games. Anything over what the Bears have now would gridlock everything south of Randolph and stretch the CTA way past its limits for Sundays.

I hear he's pretty alright at this newfangled game of baseball, or whatever the kids are calling it.

Yea pretty much Mark Buehrle on that one. Its all random with prospects, all sorts of people pretend like they know but nobody does. Its all a giant gamble, we should've traded Beckham when his stock was high, trading Reed was a great move, Chris Young even better. Someone said we had the #1 farm system back in 00-01, aside from PK (who we traded for) where are those guys now? -

Jesus christ is Kevin Love overrated. -

Well, guess were in "just appreciate the game" mode now.

Is sports turning into a mirror of the "I AM OUTRAGED" laden hell that is national politics or has it been this way for a while? The people who've put themselves in charge of saving the world, the Balta's and StrangeSox's, are having a field day b****ing about things that are barely related to anything happening on a field.

knightni is doing the classic "I said something stupid but f*** you if you think I'm admitting it" routine. Been there, done that.

You do know they beat the Heat without Rose. -
New OT rules have been passed. The same rules from the postseason now apply to all games.
