The vaccine has been tested a fair amount. Maybe not as much as desired but I think its enough to show there will be minimal complications if any. I believe the complications of continuing to let the virus ravage this country are far worse than that may be caused by the vaccine. We are so lucky that sports has not had a player die yet from continuing to push games onto the schedule. I know that athletes fit the demographic where the impact is not traditionally as powerful as it is on older people, but if we keep pushing the envelope, its going to happen. Would the fan base continue saying it was a good decision to start spring training in February if one of our evolving stars caught the virus and passed away early in the season? Personally, I think its crazy we are playing any sports now and we need to look at priorities in this country.

South Korea can take the wait and see approach on the vaccine as they've had good leadership and a population who took proper steps. Unfortunately, this country hasn't done so. That's why we have over 20% of the world's deaths from the virus and have to take aggressive measures. Unfortunately, I agree with the owners stance on holding the season off until players can be vaccinated. We did complete last season but it was only 60 games and some teams struggled to achieve that (St Louis and Miami). Since that time, the number of cases in the country have exploded and we will have far more problems in 2021 if we try to launch before it's realistic. I don't even see the owners claiming to wait for fans to be vaccinated. I see them saying let's get the players vaccinated. I don't believe they are advocating for full stadiums to start the season.....they just want a legit season and not to have to teams playing games short 8 players and having to fill it with minor leaguers.

If we can extend Lynn on a fair deal, I love this trade. If we can’t, I don’t like it as we’ll be back in the same position next December and I don’t want to keep giving up prospects.

Trading Kopech would be insane. He's a legitimate TOR guy would could win 400 games for us over the next 17-18 years. If anything, extend him and lock him into a long term deal. It's crazy to talk about trading a future HoFer before he even gets to pitch a full season for us.

I wouldn't trade Kopech for Snell straight up. We'd be regretting this trade big time in less than a year.

My guess is they are still negotiating the details of the contract with Ozzie and they are holding off any announcements until this is finalized.

Hahn said he wasn’t a candidate to fill Ricky’s position. He never said he wasn’t coming back. Who thought LaRussa was coming back? No one saw that in their crystal ball until a month ago.

Do we know if they’ve talked with Ozzie about bench coach? He would be perfect and provide a natural successor to LaRussa when he retires in 5-10 years.

Great hire! Also, this hire has to help our odds of getting an extension done with Giolito in the offseason!

I'd still like to see Ozzie Guillen given a chance as bench coach. I know Hahn had said no to manager.....but he never said he wouldn't be on the staff and I think he'd be a great addition!

Ozzie would have clearly been my #1 choice. However, if that wasn't going to happen, this is a good second choice.

If Hahn isn’t smart enough to believe this is a great move that gives us the best chance to win, maybe he shouldn’t be the GM. I believe he’s fully onboard though and realizes this hire is a slam dunk.

I know they said that initially but they haven't referenced him since the day Ricky was dismissed. It leads me to believe that something is happening on the down low. We can be hopeful!
