  1. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) Konerko was not beaned. The pitch got away. You could tell Miller didn't want to put him on base. It's baseball, sometimes you get hit by a pitch and it was not intentional. When it's Paulie, I still like to make them pay a price.
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Man, I can't wait for football so I have an excuse to not watch this s*** team play "baseball." The Lingerie Football League had its all fantasy game recently....replays have been airing on MTV2
  3. Would love to score about 5 here so Sale could retailiate in the 8th for the Konerko beaning.
  4. Let's get the lead back here right away.....2 or more this inning!!! Than Sale in the 8th and Santos in the 9th for a White Sox winner!!
  5. I miss the days of Teahen screwing up plays like that one.
  6. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 01:49 PM) Only rumor so far is Rios for a ham sandwich and a bag of chips to be named later. Rumor has it that instead of buying a loaf of Wonder....Kenny decided to make homemade bread. The loaf won't be done baking for 15 minutes so the ham sandwich won't be complete in time. Looks like we'll still have Rios for the rest of the year.
  7. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 01:43 PM) The Sox lineup without Paulie is utterly laughable. Just call up Viciedo to replace him
  8. Kenny Williams must be having problems finding a loaf of bread....Rios is still in a White Sox uniform. Only 19 minutes left to get that ham sandwich made and complete the trade.
  9. Quentin's trade value went down that inning....might cause him to stay a member of the Sox after the next 25 minutes
  10. We could be the best team in baseball today! The execution is phenomenal!
  11. Rios called off another outfielder! He's learning not to run into them! We better ask for 2 ham sandwiches now!
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 01:12 PM) Deal I will take it. Throw in washed up mascots, Ribby and Rhubarb......and you'll get a Natty Light to go with the ham sandwich and chips
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 01:11 PM) Add a bag of chips and you got a deal! If you're requiring the chips, you only get half a ham sandwich
  14. Great at bat by Rios! He really seems to be turning things around!
  15. Does his contract stipulate that he has to play baseball in order to earn his paycheck? Or could we reassign him as a hot dog vendor for the Sox? After about 3 innings of doing this, I'm sure he'd catch enough grief to announce his resignation!
  16. Got a feeling ozzie gonna be on the twitter after this one
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) He ought to literally have to walk out of CF to the bench. If you highlight the situation, I think your chances of trading him are nil
  18. This doesn't surprise me at all....I've been saying all day that Kenny was likely working hard to move Rios and it appears that the Brewers are the targets. If this happens, there are a lot of people on this board who stand to eat some crow based upon comments earlier today.
  19. If the Mariners hadn't of cut Milton Bradley earlier in the year, that could have been your deal for Rios. It's a player in a situation like Soriano or where Bradley was earlier in the year that I expect a deal to happen for at some point. It's two teams just moving dead weight. Balance out the dollars and see if the change of scenery does anything for either player.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) Dude, there's no f***ing way. He's harder to deal than Alfonso Soriano. That could be your deal. Before the Sox just eat the contract, I think they'll trade him for another underperforming, overpaid player elsewhere in the league. You might as well take a chance and see if a change of scenery for someone can make a difference before eating all that money. Similar to what the Sox did in the Borchard for Thornton trade....just on a larger scale.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) Are you an alcoholic? Nope....is that a prerequisite to post on this board?
  22. I still think you may see Rios traded before the end of the season
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) Plus one of these days Dunn will start hitting again Also, by having Dunn bat with runners on first and second, you took the shift out of the equation. It gave him a much greater chance to succeed in that at bat.
  24. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) Not sure what the market is for underperforming overpaid slackers these days. Rasmus just brought EJax and a couple of relievers.
