QUOTE (greg775 @ May 28, 2009 -> 12:33 AM) I dunno about that. CQ hasn't produced much yet and this guy might be in a league with a lot of decent OF's available. If you guys were me, would you drop Nolasco? Sorry for the fantasy question. Carlos' injury problems have to be a concern to the Sox. Sort of like Jermaine earlier in his career, pre Sox. In my league, I have both Manny and Q....unfortunately, I can't move Manny to the DL (as he's suspended not injured) so until this gets resolved, I'm basically without 2 OFers. If this lingers much longer, I may have to look at the option of dropping Q as well. I'd hate to do it though and hope that a miracle occurs soon that helps both the White Sox and my fantasy team.

If Jenks doesn't start the 9th, we should at least put him in once we get 2 outs.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 26, 2009 -> 12:24 PM) I'm assuming he won't be promoted so I'm hoping the Tigers pick him up and somehow move him to closer, haha. I wouldn't be surprised if he was promoted....his control is still a bit of a problem, but outside of the walks, he seems to be doing well in AAA http://syracuse.chiefs.milb.com/milb/stats...&pid=213680 Not that I expect him to do well if given the call....I just wouldn't be surpised if the Nats took on a flyer on him

According to Gamecast, we have a 99% chance of winning this game.....I like those odds. -

Quick question...I just got in from being out of town for the weekend and was reviewing the action on gametracker (glad to see lots of offense!). I see that Quentin went out for a pinch runner in the first inning....was he injured? I'm hoping nothing serious...but it seems an odd move. Can someone tell me what happened? -
I think some thought should be given to just sitting him for 15-30 days and than trying some more AAA starts. Coming back so early may have been too taxing on the arm and a break from any activity may do some good. It can't hurt?

I have a gut feeling that we not only end up completing the deal...but end up giving the Pads less in return and finding a middle ground with Jake on concessions. I just don't see any other player coming to the table in the next few months that can get the deal done. The Padres will be desperate to find a suitor and Jake would like to improve his status for future years. Unless a deal for another top line starter is done before the deadline, I think Kenny gets this done in the days preceding the trade deadline.

Out of all the KC rejects we've gotten over the years, I think this one is the cream of the crop. After todays wonderful outing (his 2nd lousy one out of only 3 appearances), the ERA is currently 18.90.....sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I could throw underhanded and do better than than this. Its time to fry this turkey or stuff his ass and stick him a 350 oven....one way or another, just get him out of town.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 21, 2009 -> 02:23 PM) Kudos to DJ to step up and stop the bleeding. He held the score at 20 to 0 and now we have a run and can get a rally going here in the bottom of the 9th It definitely ain't over til the fat lady sings! -
Peavy Rejects Sox Offer; Deal Now Dead

ESPNNews just promo-ed the fact they will talk about other trades the White Sox may make if the Peavy trade goes through.....should be an interesting discussion after the commercial break. -

It appears that a full trade clause is indeed one of the largest concessions being sought..... -

QUOTE (zenryan @ May 21, 2009 -> 01:19 PM) I guess if there's ever a day to be down 10-0 to a division rival its today. I really need us to come back though....I badly need a save from Jenks on my fantasy team today. -

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:32 PM) I respectfully disagree. The San Diego zoo has the cute chick with the parrot that talks to AC Slater on "Pet Star." So if we can get the cute chick and the parrot transferred to Brookfield zoo....do you think the deal is done? -

Levine just stated on ESPNNews that Peavy wants the limited no trade clause extended through the contract in addition to guaranteeing the final year (and possibly turned into a full no trade clause). -

Remember....there's a $4 million buyout there as it currently stands.....so it would only be guaranteeing an additional $18 million (still not a bad salary for a true ace in todays game) -

I think the Sox had to see this coming.....its a common request when players waive a NTC. If we aren't prepared to guarantee that final year, I don't think discussions would even have begun. To me, this news is encouraging. -

We need to show a couple hot chicks at the game (wearing skimpy outfits) that are holding a sign which reads "free BJ's for guys named Peavy" (just make sure Jake's wife isn't watching the game with him) -

QUOTE (dmbjeff @ May 21, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) I bet Hawk and Steve are under direct orders to talk up how good the White Sox are and how winnable this division is today in hopes Peavy is watching. They need to talk up the city more than anything.....how good the restaurants are, how nice the weather is, the quality of skools, the hotness of the pusssy, etc. -

Anyone think the Sox might be trying to arrange a conversation between Ozzie and Jake? (Or would this be against league rules?)
