Whoops. Might not want to fall behind Jim 3-1 with them loaded.
Surprisingly enough, Jim was only hitting .211 with RISP and only .200 after a 3-1 count before that AB.....you can move those numbers up a bit now though!
Let's not be so hard on Javy...without the error, the Orioles get one run at most that inning. If he can hold his own for another 3-4 innings (or maybe more), I still believe we will come back and win this game.
I'm guessing the vote was fairly close from these comments......

If just 60% of the people voted for one of the American league players, thats about 11.5 million votes and Liriano would most likely have had 3 million+ as well with the other 3 dividing approximately 5-6 million votes.

That Hawk, as I've said before, he may be a senile old coot, but he's OUR senile old coot.
If you don't love the Hawk, you must be a Cubs fan
Today would be a good game for Politte to have his last chance to stick....give him an inning and if he's shellacked here, its time to thank him for a great 2005 and refill his roster spot with Montero, Tracey, or someone else who at least has a chance to help this team.
Liriano and Santana won't lose the rest of the year??? Give me a break....they MAY win 75% of their starts but every pitcher in this game is beatable and does lose games.
Furthermore, Santana has a proven past....but there's a good chance that Liriano may be a flash in the pan. A few good months does not make a superstar....we need to remember this whether we are talking about the White Sox or our opponents.
The Twins will not win 100 games....I think 85-88 is more realistic and we should easily be able to outperform them.
The Tigers should be a challenge for the division title....but as someone said in an earlier post, there's a lot of games left between the two teams and this will decide the division.
Detroit has played at nearly 100% of their capablities for the first half of the season while we've probably realized 70% of our potential in 2006. If these roles reverse after the break, the Sox will win the division by 5-10 games....count on it!

in all honesty AJ is prolly the 4th most deserving guy on there
I disagree with that statement....Not only does AJ have great stats this year, but his "tough mental attitude" is inspiration for all the other White Sox. Without AJ, I think this team is easily 4-6 games off its current pace....there's not another player among the 5 that I could say that about.
How many times can we vote? Also, should we try to arrange an affiliation with a national league board that we vote for their player....as long as they vote for AJ? I think the Mets might get the most voters out.....if we can trust those from NY to fulfill their end of the deal.

NO Yanks or Sawx in the final vote. This should be interesting.
That helps...but unfortunately, AJ is not loved outside Chicago. Sox fans will have to come through big time for him to make the team! Lets do it!!!!

if mark was tipping his pitches then it will be fixed and he goes 5 or 6 more scoreless
If he was tipping his pitches, why didn't Coop visit the mound during the first inning to correct things?
Didn't Mark give up 7 in the first inning once before this year? And what happened that game? Oh yeah....we won. Keep the faith....I'm still thinking we seep.
It's a s***ty inning here....but lets not make this thread like yesterday's....there's still plenty of time to come back and win this game and I believe we will do so.
