  1. I just can’t understand this thinking. I would fire flus if he ran the table, this guy sucks and we all know it
  2. Nobody is ignoring that. You are operating in a logical scenario, and the White Sox do not exist in that scenario. in a vacuum yea great let’s keep him and build around him. In reality it’s just not gonna happen, this ownership does not do that. You are not arguing with US, you are arguing with our understanding of how THEY operate
  3. I want Caleb to get back on track, but The last thing I want is another late season mirage that convinces everyone that Flus figured it out again. I don’t believe they will but if we are sitting here at the end of the season and they pulled off a 4-4 record from now, I could absolutely see that happening
  4. I have heard some rumors that the issue for Warren is, besides it not being on the lakefront, he was not president when AH site was purchased and it’s not his idea, and he really isn’t into it being there at all.
  5. I don’t understand the first point of me acknowledging his opinion. Everyone has an opinion, doesn’t mean it’s right. Why would we be shocked? Everything has changed the entire history of the game. I’m sorry the game has moved past what you remember as a kid
  6. Well, if it is against the point that he is trying to make, then yes
  7. People answer your questions, they have for the entire time you have been on this site. You don’t like the answers so you rephrase the question and act like nobody answered it all of the above is nonsense and none of it I agree with. You have absolutely no idea of the average workload of a starter and all you do is cry about 5 inning starters. who. Fucking. Cares. If you win while making sure your pitcher remains healthy for his tenure on the team, it doesn’t matter. You want to know why guys aren’t pitching complete games and 250 innings anymore? Because it ruined their careers. All this special health focus and plans and everything that you hate was born because players were sick of losing their fastball at age 28 because they are throwing too much Goose is one hall of fame player with an opinion. He is not the standard bearer of opinions from the hall of fame
  8. Honestly we need more ballparks like the polo grounds. Give us 700 foot from the diamond centerfield walls
  9. Better watch out with that Andrew Vaughn WAR you might get oldSox in here complaining about how bad Rizzo is
  10. I have zero doubt that they hired Shane based on the lack of intimidation. And based on the talking heads the last couple days, the bears did very little homework on him regarding his respect level and ability to do the job
  11. This isn’t a “cheap” hire. This was a agent hire (trace armstrong reps like the entire staff) and a “don’t make flus think you want his job” hire which isn’t much better, but this wasn’t cheapest guy out there. He actually had done the job at the NFL level before (or so we thought)
  12. I wouldn’t say that we hate our prospects as much as we know that the white sox have never invested in development which puts our prospects at a great risk when they hit the majors. and then we see them hit the majors, and it plays out the same way every time. Honestly I think they are about to ruin Montgomery by rushing him up to the majors. Time will tell, but he didn’t make me think he was knocking at the door last season
  13. lol yes, the hall of fame will only contain position players going forward. So true gonna put this on the wall of awesome things, next to “Tim Anderson - Starting Catcher” and “Yasiel Puig - best centerfield the world has ever seen playing right field”
  14. Nobody is apologizing to you because one guy who retired 30 years ago agrees with you that we should ignore current health trends. Also nobody is gonna apologize because the best teams in the league use all these fancy confusing numbers to their advantage! Can you believe it??
  15. He is running around like a chicken with his head cut off because he has some of the worst time in the pocket in the entire league. He has had some slow release times but right now it’s all compounding because he has no time to process at all
  16. Requesting Bagent starts? That sounds like bs, come on now. The other stuff fine but gimme a break on veterans asking for that
  17. All were 5 or 6 year seniors in their second college team, no?
  18. It is truly unbelievable that we are here in this spot, again. And none of us trust that the next -fully- correct move is made, which is to clean house of the coaching staff. You just know that they will retain some of them because the bears don’t like paying people to go away
  19. I don’t think a mere loss gets it done, but if that place is booing like it did this past Sunday and they lose by 2+ TDs again, I have a hard time seeing them letting him captain this ship any longer
  20. I think if Packers smoke them on Sunday, Flus is out.
  21. I didn’t listen to all of the press conference but I didn’t hear anyone question if Caleb is to remain the starter. For him to throw that out there as if THAT was the question, and not the relative status of his employment, was a choice. but if you have noticed, the last three weeks Flus has spent a lot of time in front of that Mic repeating that everyone has his back and he has a great relationship with the team
  22. I have no idea why he declared Caleb was the starter, nobody is asking that question. The only question regarding him in that position is “why are you letting your 1-1 pick get killed at the end of blowout games with two minutes left?” But obviously Flus can’t answer that question, because that is an indicting question for him
