  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) So you're telling me they're in the market for Borchard? Borchard for Jorge Julio, Tim Byrdak and John Parrish. straight up. Come on! You know they would do this deal for Hendry.(notice the lack of green)
  2. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) Bingo. No no no, we are talking about Andytheclown, not Bingo the Clown.
  3. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) I dont understand why everyone wants to discount this mlbtrade rumors guy just because andy the clown had a similar rumor a few days ago Yeah, I want to discount a guy who uses messageboard material as sources for his MLB trade rumors. Sorry, I like my sources to be a little more "in the know" than someone who cruises around team websites deciding which rumors are plausible or not, and posting them as if they heard it from the horses mouth.
  4. Brand New- Deja Entendu - Your Favorite Weapon I cant stop listening to this band. I get in a mode where I dont want to listen to anything else, and I think I have hit that mode.
  5. Supposedly will be announced today, Childress to Minnesota http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/foot...r.ap/index.html
  6. I swear that new poster Andytheclown wrote this statement almost verbatim a few weeks ago.
  7. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10730569/ Wherever this guy runs, it looks like he just cannot stop himself. Great pic on the MSNBC website too, looks like he really put on his nice sunday outfit for his trip to court.
  8. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) The Red Sox were on it, I still have the issue. Really? What date was the issue? I googled for different issues in October last year and could only come up with the two I mentioned
  9. Ouch, this quote puts the Cubs evaluation and developmental skills in perspective.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 01:29 AM) The Jenny Finch thing with her pitching to MLB players on the weekly show is misleading IMO as well. If the MLB players warmed up for a few minutes they would hit her well. To back this up, when Finch was on Kimmel's show they had her pitch to Jimmy and Cousin Sal, now they obviously struggled, as I would, but the guest that night was Warren Sapp, who, while not a baseball player is a professional athlete. He fouled her off immediately, and not tippers, he was fouling them straight back. He was also doing this in dress shoes. On a side note, this obviously flustered Finch and she attempted to throw him a change-up on about the 6th pitch to fool Sapp, but it didn't work. Ummm, no. Jenny Finch throws hard. Really hard. Jimmy Kimmels show isnt backing anything up. If Jenny Finch stepped in with all of her game against whoever stepped in the batters box, there is a good chance she would win. She may not throw just as hard as a man, but she throws from closer and you dont have as much time to decide to swing or not then if it had been a mens ball from MLB pitchers mound distance. Besides, what does womens Uconn BBall playing HS mens BB teams and Jenny Finch throwing BP to Jimmy Kimmel, Cousin Sal and Warren Sapp have to do with Womens Hockey or your theory that any mens team(at any level) could beat any Womens team(at any level)? You were doing better with your hockey argument, dont bring in hypotheticals from other sports.
  11. I just checked, Oct 11 was Randy Moss on the cover, Oct 25 was T.O. and Donovan McNabb, hanging out cuz they are boys
  12. It would be interesting to see the ESPN magazine that came out before and after the 2004 World Series
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Marte 1.2 IP and 0 BB? This simulation is null and void. LMAO, that is too funny.
  14. holy schnikies! 10-1?!?!?! Is Bobby Valentine creating this scenario himself?
  15. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) Except usually, in these cases, its power of some people - and they usually aren't even in the local market. Well said Rex.
  16. QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) Who are you talking to? The AFA? That's their point. It's called boycotting, not censorship. They don't have the direct power to take it off the air. Am I missing something? Easy Tiger. I know thats their point. I dont have to agree with it, do i? And no, you arent missing the point, Im just complaining about something like everyone else in the this forum What the AFA is doing is not direct censorship, its pressuring censorship which is annoying. Im just complaining because its groups like that that like to believe they know what everyone wants and needs to watch, which can lead to more of this type of action. It really sucks that some stations fold to this sort of pressure too, it just encourages the AFA to do it more aggresively.
  17. http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/05/t...reut/index.html If you dont like it, change the channel. Dont deprive others of watching something because you dont agree with it. aaahhhhh censorship
  18. QUOTE(JimH @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) The baseball business moves that fast. It is moving at the speed of lint! sorry, random Tick reference. Move along with your believing and disbelieving sports writers.

  20. In Other News, The Sun came up. LOL. I love when actors "come out" with info that everyone has known for a while.
  21. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:31 AM) the story is weird. both of the people who were robbed say they don't know clarett, but that when he was fleeing the scene someone yelled "maurice" and later claimed it was clarett. the victims' story has also fluctuated. they first said they were approached by a guy who aimed a gun at them and demanded money. now they are saying he pulled up the waistband of his pants to reveal a gun, then asked for their cell phone. i dunno. as i said, clarett's a clown and the story is believable, but it's odd to see this much change this early. time will tell. What I heard on PTI was that the robbery was occurring beind of a club named Opium in the alley. The owner or manager of the club, who knew Clarett, walked outside to have a smoke and saw the robbery taking place, and immediately recognized Clarett and said "Maurice!", at which point Clarett grabbed a phone or something and jumped into the white SUV believed to be Clarett's. I guess in the next couple months we will find out just what really happened.
  22. That quote right there raises the red flags for me. I remember Matt Franco being nothing but a utility man in the MLB, now he is better than anyone on the Sox not named Konerko. Bull s***.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) Elliot (Sarah Chalke) is the oldest daughter on Rosanne, which was weird. Actually, she was the replacement "Becky". The first girl on the show quit, and this Sarah Chalke stepped in. And then in the last two seasons the original Becky came back and they wrote Sarah Chalke in the show as someone else, which was funny. Ok I am wandering now... Scrubs rules.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2006 -> 09:41 AM) Its quirky. Its one that you can't just jump into... You either had to watch it from the beginning or give it time to grow on you. The humor is different, but I love the characters. Jinx!
