  1. Sadly, I felt that Sublime got the Tupac treatment in terms of albums released after death. It sort of cheapened their music to me. I could only hear so many remixes of What I got and Summertime.
  2. Isnt this wrong? In Game two, the Astros tied the game in the top of the ninth and Podsednik won the game in the bottom half, right?
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Because, it wasnt a bad step, or a bad hit. His ACL just snapped out of almost nowhere. If that is indicative of the rest of his ligaments, he might not last long in the NFL. Thats not true Rock. he leaped over a defender, and landed with his foot cocked on one side, and proceeded to try and make another step with his foot cocked inwards. It was certainly not out of nowhere. At full speed, it didnt look like anything big, but when they slowed it down I could see exactly why his ACL snapped. His leg was not in the proper position to push off of the ground and make another step.
  4. can anyone tell me what the hell is going on here? Someone decided to make a gigantic bunny rabbit on their property or something?
  5. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Anybody use this website? I've been there, got my name in there, but I just can't bring myself to PAY for that crap. What REALLY irks me is how much of it you have to be a member for. You would think the message board would atleast be a freebie...but nope. To do anything there you need to be a Gold Member. Nope. I am the same way about paying for it, it seems really s***ty. I can wait until a reunion to talk to these people. i am still in touch with the ones I want to be in touch with. I have checked a few times over the years, and hardly any of the names or email addresses have changed on my schoolmates, so i doubt my class is into it too much
  6. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 01:44 PM) me too. Didn't realize his passing stats were so good. However he is second best. How is he second best? Just because his team is in last? Did you know the Packers have outscored their opponents this year, despite their 1-6 record? Despite how truly BAD everything is around Favre this year, he is still doing his thing.
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 01:22 PM) Can't forget this golden oldie N2Deep "Back to the Hotel" AWESOME. I had forgotten about that
  8. I lost Pearl Jam after 10. It was strange too, Pearl jam and Stone Temple Pilots were basically presented as one and the same by MTV, and it didnt help that their singles (Plush and Jeremy) had a very similar sound and vocals, and their albums also had a similar grunge feel to them. But when they released their sophomore albums, Purple just grabbed me so much more than VS did. From then on, I just had a mental block for Pearl Jam that I couldnt remove.
  9. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) Time for a hypothetical. Hilton & Jolie are looking your way but they don't want to share. Whomever you choose you must remain faithful to. If you cheat on her she will kill you. You die. Whom do you choose? Jolie. no doubt in my mind. Paris has the dirty-dirty feel about her. Jolie has the naughty-naughty feel, which is much better. Jolie=nighttime of fun, morning of muscle soreness and pain. Paris=nighttime of fun, morning of shots at the doctors office.
  10. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) And you know what the funny thing is. Kyle Orton might be the best QB in the division this year. I mean Daunte Culpepper was brutal this season and Favre hasn't been great (granted he has nothing to work with but Orton doesn't have all that much besides Moose and Jones). Garcia is an average QB at best. I'm not saying that Orton is great right now but he will be. What a steal in the 4th round to have found your future QB. Orton is a very tough kid because if RW had hit Grossman like that Grossman would already be in a cast. Here is the big question now. What do you do with Grossman? He is gonna want to start so why not sign a veteran QB in the offseason and trade for a Wide Receiver. Let me preface this by stating that I HATE the Packers. Favre has lost his top two wide recievers, his top two running backs, his top two offensive lineman, and has probably the worst defense in the entire league. Yet Favre has a 85.5 passer rating, over 1800 yards passing, and 15 touchdowns. Of course he leads the league in interceptions, but I would have to say that is a bigger reflection on his lack of offensive weapons. Orton has a long way to go until he is the best QB in the North.
  11. Mi Oggy? Miyagi is more like it. If you go to www.collegehumor.com, the past 2 days are pretty much nothing but great costumes. Alot of tributes to Nintendo characters, i might add
  12. I also think that AJ running over Aaron Boone with his hands up in the air was one of the funniest things that happened all year.
  13. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) ALL HAIL TO ME! (and Kyyle). I will drink to that, I am on the move!
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:06 AM) Carr is one of the several guys out there that are not running dirty programs. So you know Jeremy Giambi AND Lloyd Carr? You have one impressive black book, I will give you that
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) It's Wendell Davis in Philly all over again. That was career ending. I feel this is more of a setback than a career ender. It is certainly not good though. he was on another level on sunday.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) Saw The Weather Man on Friday, not bad, kinda funny, but it felt... unfinished. I get that from alot of Nicholas Cage movies. i felt the same way after Matchstick men, The Family Man, any and all of his action movies (Con-Air, Face-off, etc..)
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) I doubt he'll take it seeing how Moose doesn't really bring much to the table. Tony Fisher isn't bad but he has better backs than that already on his team. You win that trade pretty easily IMO. Tony Fisher is the number 1 now, isnt he? Najeh Davenport is injured and Green is out for the year. Knowing how much the RB is a part of the offense in GB, I would think that Fisher would be a nice sleeper.
  18. I think that JR is going to realize that the reward is going to outweigh the risk on moving the payroll up to around 90 million dollars. He has to realize that the Marlins model is not a model of consistency, it was more of a flash in the pan model because they elected to let their main contributors go the very next year, after both world championships. If JR wants things to keep moving up in terms of financial windfall and in terms of competitiveness, he is going to have to spend a little to make a little.
  19. I dont know if any of you watch the CBS newscast around 5:30 on Saturdays, but me and my father were watching it, and the female anchor screwed up a segment really bad by going to the weather lady before the male anchor had a chance to do a quick segment on the recently voted "Top Ten Most Violent movies of all time". It was screwed up so bad, that only the first two were listed, and they were 1. Freddy vs Jason 2. Jaws now, I am not the biggest horror/gore fan in the world, but I know for a fact that those two movies would not be in my top ten(of what only I have seen), and Freddy vs Jason would barely make my Top 20. Off the top of my head I can think of some movies I have seen in the past 3 years that would go before those movies. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre House of 1000 Corpses The remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre(04) The Mask (the original) Faces of Death Toxic Avenger(Toxie may have been funny, but you cant take away the gore) Feel free to add on(I know there will be plenty). Sometimes i wonder who makes these lists.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) Some Elementary Schools start in the afternoon. lol
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) Illinois did the investigation and turned themselves in to the NCAA. Mason is no longer a member of the Illini as he was kicked off of the team. I stand corrected. I didnt realize that they had tried for the secondary violation which was changed to a major violation http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-illinois-print
  22. http://www.madison.com/tct/sports/general/...d=40294&ntpid=2 I think what you have here is One program (Illinois) who got caught, and didnt really do any attempt to cover it up. Then you have another program(Ohio St) who got torched by one of their own in Clarett. The only big problem here is that Clarett has little to no credibility, he is a proven liar, and a silver spooner who expects everything to go his way. Ohio St did an impressive job of damage control, switched the main focus to the improprieties going on in their basketball program, which could be blamed on a coach who was already gone. Troy Smith was suspended for taking $500. He missed a bowl game because of it. Remember that Clarett guy missing essentially the rest of his college career? yeah, thats punishment You should not write this.... .....And follow it with this^^ It makes your argument sound like a sour grapes/rivalry argument. AJ Hawk isnt involved in this at all. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that most, if not all, major programs pay players to come play at their school. The coaches play mad games of hide the ball when the auditors come looking, and sometimes they just cant cover up everything that these 18 year olds with superstar power and fame do with their considerable time off. The difference in these situations I see is that Ohio St came out and admitted their problems(admittedly, after they were about to get 'outed'), and Illinois got caught.
