Ozzie Guillen did an excellent job last year in funneling most of the relevant innings to his nine or so best pitchers, perhaps Guillen's signature skill aside from being quotable. If Garcia senses a pitchers duel, he morphs into an incredibly crafty and unpredictable pitcher. His problem is now and will always be the "big-game" stigma. if he feels the game isnt as important, then we seem to get the stinkers. If it means something, then we see all of the talent and execution.
