  1. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) I like Kermit, but my true love is : Pepe is hilarious. I thought he was the best addition to the muppet lineup in 20 years. When the Hensons sold the muppet rights, they went straight into the crapper. Pepe was about the only good thing to come from the Muppets in the time before the Henson kids came back into the picture, recently. From what I have read, Disney is planning a big rebirth of the Muppets.
  2. I love reading through these articles and finding this: It always makes me wonder, how do we know that we actually got the right guy? This guy goes by 3 seperate names that can be broken down into smaller names that can be pinned on anyone. I hope we got the right guy, but how would I actually know?
  3. Happy Birthday, from where your heart resides....
  4. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Sep 27, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) Texsox, Just to let you know, I'm glad he wrote again, as i tried to point out. ITS A GOOD thing. We win almost every time he writes, its awesome. And shutup about not reading his articles, he's the head columnist for the 2nd biggest paper in chicago and the biggest paper that doesn't own the other team in town. He should get read and commented on, thats why he writes. Nobody is crying, people are commenting dumbs***
  5. Yet KW was still vilified for the lack of a move.
  6. QUOTE(Bias @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) What should the lineup be? Me say Pods Goocher RowDog Paulie AJ Dye Dinosaur Man Crede Uribe I would be concerned about Paulie and AJ being back 2 back due to lack of speed, but I prefer to break up the righties by having him @ 5 instead of 6. Goocher and Rowdog? LMAO
  7. Anyone know what the weather is supposed to be like in Detroit? It would certainly suck to have to sit through more rain delays
  8. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) I dont have a link to it but today i read in the paper that el duque admitted that his knee was bothering him. why is this the first time we have heard about it after a horrible second half?? Im guessing because of incentives in his contract.....
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) Has that ever been even talked about before? I dont see why its that much different. Yes, the OB did throw the ball that got picked, but the pitcher also threw the ball that went yard..... No, the pitcher did not throw the pitch that went yard. The pitcher threw a pitch that was booted in the field, allowing the runner to stay on base. Sure, he may throw a pitch that goes yard afterwards, but the runner on first is considered unearned. The problem with changing the rule is when a QB throws a pass too high and too hard, and the WR barely can get his fingers on it to tip it. To me, the QB is at fault in that scenario. But what Gage did was inexcusable, the ball hit him in the chest and he bounced it upwards to a defender. that wasnt Ortons fault.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 09:19 AM) I really beleive in football, with a play like the Gage play, where Gage had that ball right on the numbers, and he couldnt make the play, the OB should not be charged an INT. Like an unearned run in baseball. I completely agree with that. Gage pisses me off so much, it seems like every time he misses a catch, he pops it way up in the air for anyone to grab.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) Speculation Station: I'm not sure why she was reprimanded for talking to the crowd. Unless she was possibly a cheerleader and was out of line or something...But they were probably clued into the parents when they went in to talk to the dean or principal after their daughter was scolded. Can you imagine the look on the deans face when he realized that her parents were Lesbians? You could probably cut the tension in that room with a knife
  12. Define "winning the war". No matter what, life is lost. This isnt something that the Government will be able to step away from and say to themselves "yes, they are much better off now.". US occupation of Iraq will continue for a lot longer than we are being told, even though everyone with a open-mind knows this. Its just a situation that is really going to be in a constant state of flux for a long time.
  13. I dont really understand the situation in which the girl was reprimanded for talking to the crowd during a football game. And further more, I dont understand how this exposed her parents as being lesbians. Can anyone clue me in here?
  14. QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) I wore the wrong shoes to ballet and kicked myself in the face. lol, I hate when that happens
  15. Wow. This is going to dump that gay marraige can o' worms right into the Governators lap.

    What a crock!!

Its still a humungous f***ing creature. I wouldnt be surprised if that thing was hunting people just because it could. 21 feet, thats completely amazing. Thats an older animal.
  17. QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) My daughter just started ballet and tap lessons, she's in a soccer league and she is going to be in Girl Scouts soon. She is absolutely awesome, despite inheriting WAY too many of my personality traits. LMAO, I know how you feel.
  18. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 10:32 AM) Tom is cute! That isnt really Tom, but he looks just like that. He is really cute. They have these strange little personalities that you wouldnt even know about unless you owned one. Of course, this guy is in it for the long haul, they can live up to 80-100 years and get up to 150 pounds.
  19. My daughter turned 5 on tuesday. Completely blows my mind. She was so little, then she was talking back. Her main present was Tom the Turtle(a Sulcata tortoise) that she picked out. Alot of people give me s*** for getting her a turtle(Oh my gawd! They all have salmonella!), but I really think its a good learning tool for her, and it teaches responsibility. She is pretty into it, so I am happy. Tom ^^^

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) We use Outlook also and just so you know.. the IT Dept has access to any and everything you do via their server and should have been able to stop it. Maybe they just got a late jump on it. Do you know which office this guy was located out of? Nope. he sent it first to Area 8, and thats Connecticut and Rhode Island, so i am guessing thats it. I really dont know though. Im not worried really. if this guy was part of the Illinois Branches, im sure we would all know where he was at. I swear that this place gossips worse than a knitting circle.

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) A company that big and the IT dept couldn't stop the flow..? Not to mention the HR Dept responding is weird also. Well.. good luck to you.. keep your head out of the line of whatever fire he might be referring to. I have never even heard of this guy, so i am not too worried about a religion-induced shooting spree at my office anytime soon We use Microsoft Outlook for our email. I am not too familiar with it since I use yahoo for my personal email, but it seems like if someone gets an email and responds to all there isnt much the techies can do about it. i dont know much about that stuff though..... I also think the HR dept responded due to the religious message in his goodbye letter.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) So, what'd he do, join a cult, move to another country, or is he gonna off himself? I would send you his email, but I dont want to start something that could so easily be traced back to me. Draw your own conclusions I guess. Here are some of the better replies to the email before the president of the company put the Ka-bosh on the jokes: -from an employee named Jesus, LOL And finally---

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Wow, I'm surprised the company let that be sent to everyone. . . You can send an email to whomever you want in the server. No mods until you cause trouble

    Goodbye message

Everyone at my company just recieved this email about 45 minutes ago. Keep in mind that the company I work for has multiple branches in California, Minnesota, Illinois, Connecticut, Maine, and Maryland. So, many many people recieved, and responded to this. The response reminded me of a Juggs induced religious argument. anywho, here it is:
  25. It depends on what you consider the best? Schedule? Players? Competitiveness within the conference? Draft picks out of the conference? Finishes in March madness? I think its a pretty subjective question. You can look at RPI and say "Team A is better than Team B", and then look at SOS and say "But Team B has a tougher schedule than Team A, therefore they must be better..." My favorite conference to watch in terms of competitiveness year in year out is the MVC. Of course, i went to SIU so my view is a little(ok, alot) biased. But last year SIU was all the way up to the teens in RPI. Did that make them as good as their RPI? No way. It just shows that College Basketball is extremely difficult to rank.
