  1. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) What if the one player was timo? timo may catch alot of s*** on this board, but Timo has played more games in the past 2 years than Nomar has. I would be pissed if the Sox traded Matt Smith for nomar, much less Timo Perez
  2. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Oh, I don't know. Because we'd be able to offer a very solid package, and there are no ill effects from a trade due to the teams only playing 6 games against each other during interleague play. Not like it's KC or Minnesota where they are trading us a guy that is not only hurting themselves by helping an opponent, but also by helping that opponent that is playing them 19 times during the year. You say that like the teams would never make a trade. I don't see Nomar coming here...way too much of a risk, and there is just no need for him with his pricetag being as high as it inevitably is. I don't want him at all. The Cubs would be lucky to get a bucket of balls for Nomar at this point. he is the biggest health questionmark in the league right now. Unless Nomar has another .330 year next year with 30+ homeruns and 100+ RBI, I really dont see him signing any huge contracts anymore. If the White Sox attempted to acquire Nomar for one player, I would be pissed. If the White Sox offered a package for Nomar, I would be furious.
  3. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Shouldn't Timo play Enis? I dont think Jeb grasps the relationships between the White Sox players like we do. he just put a face in there that was recognizable.
  4. Boy I can tell where this discussion is going now....
  5. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) And you know this how? because underneath the article, it says "Posted by jeb". her little group of "Bat-lings" get to post things if she deems it funny enough.
  6. Did you get butt implants? this feels so firm....
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) no reply. How can he possibly reply? he has to know that his article and poll are absolutely ludicrous and baseless. He listed former flame-throwers and Duaner Sanchez, and tried to tell us that these are the best of the best.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) the comparison of the headshot had me laugh outloud She sure avoids talking about games when the Twins lose.
  9. That was one hell of an effort from the starting staff these past 3 games. I love our pitching!
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) He can go 40 easy. He pitch in the high 30's a week or so ago. K'd him. i agree, Didnt he go 3 innings in that extra inning fiasco against the Twins last week?
  11. We need to give Geoff Blum a huge hand. That guy has caught a ton of s*** for not being Ken Griffey Jr at the deadline, and he has been nothing short of solid for his short stay with the Sox. His defense has been superb, and now his bat is starting to come around.
  12. I wish I could explain what happened, but i am listening to the game. rooney and farmer are not happy, they said Michael Ryan hit a ball in foul territory off Konerko, and it was called fair

  16. Its nice to know that Hermanson served one pitch to LeCroy yesterday that he killed.
  17. How about Herm Schneider on the Simpsons. that would be hilarious
  18. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) I beleive it was sarcasm. then it should ahve been green
  19. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Rowand>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Griffey CYGARLAND = Crazy
  20. QUOTE(spiderman @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Why would the Padres, currently up in the division by 6 games, trade one of their few offensive weapons ? Plus, if they were open to trading him, wouldn't they want major league talent back ? Im just mentioning it because the Cardinals tried to trade for him. The Padres may be up 6 games, but they are in the worst division by far in the league. Maybe they want to try and get something for him while they can and go young for the rest of the season into the playoffs. i know they really like Xavier Nady, and he gets shuffled around alot. Maybe they just want to get him out there. Like I said, complete speculation. But the rumor mill is swirling with alot of that lately
  21. This is nothing but complete speculation on my part, and I have found no connection between the Sox and Padres on a potential trade, but I found this online today and couldnt help but think, what if KW is trying to get Brian Giles? I certainly would love to have him on the team, the guy can really hit. Looks like multiple teams are after him.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Isn't Ted some Neo-Religious freak now? I believe he works in the Cincinatti Reds front office now.
  23. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 25, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) nice Million Dollar man reference.
