Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
Kyyle23 replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Lmao yes I feel owned when you reply and tell me how ten months ago you definitely thought against the grain against everyone else and were so right. No the truth is, when you reply I read it like Charlie Brown hears his teacher, and it becomes more or less just an annoying sound of someone desperately trying to tell someone else they are “right” and that they are “owned”(😂). And I just stopped replying period because you are insufferable, not because I feel that you are right or I feel owned, but because the conversation has zero point for me or anyone else viewing. And I know this is true especially now because the point you are getting mad at has nothing to do with anything you ever said that I replied to, but rather because you found something and tried to make a mountain out of a molehill and cast me as the ignoramus that you are so sure that I am. I don’t think about you much when I’m on this site. It’s just for the best 👍😉 -

Thank you for being the most masturbatory, condescending, has to be right about literally every conversation you are ever involved in. Like I have told you many times before, I don’t engage with you because of how you talk within your responses. I shouldn’t have responded earlier when you were spoiling for this interaction, but I did, and that is my mistake. f*** off Cali -

Point of emphasis: MINORS -
All know is they are 15-50 since 92 and on a 10 game losing streak, so I’m guessing that point difference number is embarrassing
-
None of its an actual issue. Installing a antenna isn’t hard, getting a VPN to go around blackouts isn’t hard, dropping my cable and getting a far inferior cable package without internet isn’t hard. i just have zero desire to do it, because they have zero desire to compete. Such is life

Jump through just the last hoop, then we are all done. Wait, one more hoop. Done. wait, just one mo..

I don’t agree. Thanks for the lecture -
Great question from the guy who brought up the comparison in the first place

The point was not that the Sox didn’t develop them, the point was the minors did not develop them. None of the above changes my feelings, the Sox drafted both of them based on immense natural talent and brought them up immediately with little to no seasoning. and honestly it’s hard to credit crochet even more as a development win since he took it upon himself this season to make himself a starter -
A few people called into the score today talking about issues with the signal, and a few said they get it fine. Spiegel said he can’t get it in his place near the loop, but Holmes said he gets it in really clear. Very inconsistent
-
No, I’m not correcting you. I’m just throwing out out fearless leaders numbers on the road for context in finishing this season
-
I believe this leaves Flus at 3-22 as a head coach on the road so to get back to .500 he would need to go 2 1/2 seasons undefeated on the road. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t think he gets there

It’s hard to consider Sale and Crochet development wins for the minors. They developed at the major league level because their talent was just that great -
Yea I know, it’s crazy and likely more hyperbole, but It also will not happen, and we both know that. And the tragedy for me is what Dick wrote, in that 9-8 is an acceptable record to keep him, as if slightly above .500 record in the final 8 games keeps him as HC. We heard the same things last season, and it was an absolute mirage and it has COST the bears dearly in development time for the entire organization, not just Caleb. But it has cost Caleb a lot because he very likely will be on his third OC within 3 months and DA, this isn’t a shot at you. You are far from the only person I have heard that will accept 9-8 as a reason to keep him.

I just can’t understand this thinking. I would fire flus if he ran the table, this guy sucks and we all know it

Nobody is ignoring that. You are operating in a logical scenario, and the White Sox do not exist in that scenario. in a vacuum yea great let’s keep him and build around him. In reality it’s just not gonna happen, this ownership does not do that. You are not arguing with US, you are arguing with our understanding of how THEY operate -
I want Caleb to get back on track, but The last thing I want is another late season mirage that convinces everyone that Flus figured it out again. I don’t believe they will but if we are sitting here at the end of the season and they pulled off a 4-4 record from now, I could absolutely see that happening

I have heard some rumors that the issue for Warren is, besides it not being on the lakefront, he was not president when AH site was purchased and it’s not his idea, and he really isn’t into it being there at all.

I don’t understand the first point of me acknowledging his opinion. Everyone has an opinion, doesn’t mean it’s right. Why would we be shocked? Everything has changed the entire history of the game. I’m sorry the game has moved past what you remember as a kid -

People answer your questions, they have for the entire time you have been on this site. You don’t like the answers so you rephrase the question and act like nobody answered it all of the above is nonsense and none of it I agree with. You have absolutely no idea of the average workload of a starter and all you do is cry about 5 inning starters. who. Fucking. Cares. If you win while making sure your pitcher remains healthy for his tenure on the team, it doesn’t matter. You want to know why guys aren’t pitching complete games and 250 innings anymore? Because it ruined their careers. All this special health focus and plans and everything that you hate was born because players were sick of losing their fastball at age 28 because they are throwing too much Goose is one hall of fame player with an opinion. He is not the standard bearer of opinions from the hall of fame -

Honestly we need more ballparks like the polo grounds. Give us 700 foot from the diamond centerfield walls -

Better watch out with that Andrew Vaughn WAR you might get oldSox in here complaining about how bad Rizzo is -
I have zero doubt that they hired Shane based on the lack of intimidation. And based on the talking heads the last couple days, the bears did very little homework on him regarding his respect level and ability to do the job
-
This isn’t a “cheap” hire. This was a agent hire (trace armstrong reps like the entire staff) and a “don’t make flus think you want his job” hire which isn’t much better, but this wasn’t cheapest guy out there. He actually had done the job at the NFL level before (or so we thought)
