  1. The clip they played of Ozzie taking out the shortstop on a double play was insane. He straight up shoulder tackled that guy without any pretense of sliding.
  2. You really think Tony sits there and tells Cairo not to show excitement or encourage the guys in the dugout? Not buying that at all.
  3. I don't know, but this seems like a stretch to me. Cairo can bring this same energy whether he's the bench coach or the acting manager.
  4. Yea, but just imagine what Menechino can do with Juan Soto. "We can make him as good as Benintendi"
  5. There is plenty of power in the current lineup. The question is why have these guys all turned into ground ball singles hitters?
  6. Yes, but they've also only given up 32 HR on the road for -2 HR overall differnece. Much better than the -16 HR difference at home. Basically they are not playing to the strengths of their own ballpark and being taken advantage of by other teams.
  7. Yep, we hit 30 HR and our pitching has given up 46 HR, so that's -16 HR difference at home. Hard to win when you're trying to grind out 4 singles to score. Also, when half your team is on a trainer running exemption, maybe time to alter the approach to suit the roster?
  8. I would still rather go with Burger at DH and Vaugh in RF, but it's pretty much pick your poison between Burger and Vaughn being in the field. Anecdotally, Burger's mistakes seem more costly but I have no idea what the advanced metrics say.
  9. Two months into the season, only the Tigers and Pirates have scored less runs than the Sox. That's nuts.
  10. I just want our hitters to respond and score some runs regardless of how many more we give up. Being down 3-0 stinks but there's no reason we can't make this competetive.
  11. Talent level is debateable, the difference in production is not.
  12. So for someone who is more familiar with prospects, can Owen Miller, Josh Naylor, and Andres Gimenez all maintain slugging % over .543? Cleveland has 3 guys in the top 15 OPS rankings, and 4 in the top 25. Only Tim is in that range on the Sox. If these are just hot starts based on small sample size, I don't think Cleveland is going to sustain this kind of run production and is likely a .500 team. But if these are high ceiling prospects hitting their ceiling at the same time, then they might have some staying power as a team.
  13. Yea, was wondering what was up here. After checking, he leads the bullpen in IP (for sure thought it'd be Liam) so probably best not to burn him out. I think having Kelley back will hopefully spread some of that load out. Also, have to give POTW to Matt Foster. 4 games, 0 H, 5K/1BB, 4 Holds.
  14. Sweeping division rivals on the road would probably be the only thing sweeter, but going 6-0 in a week that includes sweeps against Cubs and Red Sox in their "historic" ballparks is hard to beat.
  15. Why is Graveman not available?
