  1. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2008 -> 05:46 PM) Javy throwing too many pitches. Needs some quick outs. Well, there's a first pitch out. Nice.

  3. Radio guys are saying Crede was safe and it was a blown call.
  4. Javy strikes out the side. We need to score some f***ing runs today.
  5. Wow. This is like the least clutch team of all-time. We are dead last in baseball with a .185 avg with RISP & 2 out. We were next to last in 2007. Twins are 1st in the AL.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 30, 2008 -> 10:40 PM) Ridiculous statement. A guy that is slumping has obviously JUST gone off the juice. Nice assumption. There's been times where I thought he's crushed the ball but then it barely makes it to the warning track. He hasn't hit for any power this season and his HRs already went down last year. It's not an unfair assumption at this point.
  7. This team might be the worst I've ever seen in terms of execution. It's a joke how many games we've given away this season and this was another one. We can't bunt, we can't move runners over, we can't score them from 3rd with less than 2 out. Pathetic. It's amazing that as many games as we've given away, we still have a winning record. Seems like just about every loss is self-induced.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 30, 2008 -> 07:00 PM) What is he saying? That Jose didn't suck? No, blaming it all on the divorce.
  9. I like how Hawk is already re-written history on Jose's 2007 season.
  10. The upside here is Shields is at 99 pitches. He's only gone over 102 once this season (109 v. Toronto). Maybe we'll see their bullpen.
  11. It's a good thing we scored when Shields looked s***ty.
  12. Good job Alexei! I was worried we weren't going to score after seeing Shields make his first few pitches that inning.
  13. Swisher is such a worthless piece of s***. By far my least favorite Sox player.
  14. We're 1 for 7 with RISP today. Well, the funny thing is we could have 3 runs without the benefit of a hit if we knew what we were doing out there.
  15. This is comical now. 3 innings in a row there's a guy at 2nd with 0 out and we haven't scored a run. What a f***ing pathetic hitting team.
  16. There were like 3 strike in that AB. f***!
  17. Hawk's offspring doing alright for himself.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2008 -> 05:56 PM) Unreal...seems like that's happened a lot recently. At least we tried to bunt in the 3rd inning! Considering what happened next AB, a bunt by AJ wouldn't have been such a bad play.
  19. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ May 30, 2008 -> 11:00 AM) I'm fine with how things stand ATM. If Swisher starts to get hot, then you can look at moving him back up, but if AJ is still doing well in the #2 spot, then you don't have to move him from there either. But the #'s show that AJ hasn't been doing that well in the #2 spot, so I guess we could see a change there at some point, but then again, if the team keeps winning, there's no real reason to change things up there for the sake of it. After this season, if OC leaves, we'll need a new leadoff hitter, which Swisher could be given the opportunity of claiming again, but a player such as Rafael Furcal would really fit a big need there. I wouldn't touch Furcal. Guy has a lot of tread on his tires which is scary for a speed guy. Plus he'll cost a fortune and he's not really worth it unless he's playing like he has this season. Guy was a pretty big bust last year (.688 OPS).
  20. QUOTE (rockren @ May 28, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) That's subjective. The fact that MB has an ERA over 5 and PKo, Thome and Swish are all hitting .200......could indicate that we're not anywhere near playing our best baseball, yet. I was just talking about the starting rotations. Our hitting has been pathetically underachieving.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 28, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) Lee was in the minors last year, Westbrook is a 4+ ERA guy, Byrd is avg. I think our rotation matches up very well with theirs. There's no question they're overachieving. There's no question the Sox are overachieving as well.
