I would never, ever give Joe Crede a long-term contract extension. Not with his back, injury history, and inconsistency. If he continues to have a great year, then great. Thank the baseball gods everyday. Hopefully it get us to the playoffs and we can be happy. But he's not the type of guy you would ever give a 5yr/$75M contract. That's just crazy.

It's absolutely inexcusable for this offense to hit like it has the last week and a half.

How many god damn pitcher have had their best game of the season against the Sox? Mussina, Sonanstine, Greg Smith... that is all within the last week and a half.
