We really need a Mike MacDougal Appreciation Thread. He's been awesome with holding down this bullpen. That's turning into a great move in hindsight by KW.

One question that needs to be answered is the amount of spending money we'll have in the offseason. I would try to make a play for Soriano if that's feasible after dumping one or two of our starting pitchers. One of the two starting spots would go to McCarthy and then I'd sign a 5th starter type who can give you some innings (Lidle?).

It's not a defining moment if we don't play well the rest of the year.

Like I said before this series started, the best we can hope for is a split. We'll be 4-6 through 10 games of our critical 32 game stretch. This team deserves to get booed. If you play hard and play smart, I don't have a problem. We're playing idiotic baseball with pathetic situation hitting.

Buehrle is just bad, there's no two ways about it. He had a good start agaisnt the Twins which got people excited, but it's too much like the rest of our starters (with the exception of Garland) where a good start is a total fluke.
