Looks like a good line up to me, but I repeat my concern with El Duque and A.J. . Those two just don't seem to click.

Bears or Sox? Which gets you more juiced
skidoochic replied to Benson&Rexage's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I love the Bears and since they only play one game a week (usually), it is easy to get excited about the game all week long. I have NEVER missed a Bears game on TV. I can't get (or afford) tickets most of the time, but I did get to see the Bears-Packers in Champaign (it was an awful game, but a great experience). Anyway- and GO BEARS! -
When do the line ups come out generally and where can you find them? Someone told me they are on the White Sox site early in the day, but I have never seen it.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Anyone remember the radio station The Blaze? That station ruled!! I loved the Blaze. Even thought about trying out to be a Blaze girl, but the boyfriend at the time nixed that idea!

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) Firehouse, Slaughter, Poison, Tesla, Queensryche. To name a few. :puke You must be kidding! TESLA rocks! I think my most embarrassing music has to be Kingdom Come. I heard them at the Monsters of Rock concert and HAD to have their CD. Other than that band, the concert rocked!

El Duque shakes off A.J. more than any other pitcher. Those two cannot get on the same page. What do you want to bet A.J. catches tonight, though? It could be another looooonnnggg game.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:22 AM) Widge should only catch El Duque because AJ cant seem to hook up with him. Other than that, it should all be AJ Agreed.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) Ok, but don't wear those Nazi uniforms to my park! LOL

I was watching at home and wanted to turn the TV off after the 2nd inning, but I had to continue watching for dugout shots (looking for A.J. ) Other than that, there was nothing good to watch in that game.

You beat me to this post. Even without the numbers, A.J. would have gone out there and calmed Jose down WAY earlier than Widger or Ozzie. That's just the benefit of his experience. Also, A.J. encourages his pitchers during the at-bat. You know if they are behind 2-0 and throw a real good pitch - A.J. lets them know with that glove point at the pitcher like "you da man". Anyway, I think A.J. would have been the difference in this game - after the 3 run homer. Just my opinion.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2005 -> 02:51 PM) That's not good. Widger doesn't catch Contreras nearly as well as AJ does. IMO Widger doesn't do anything as well as A.J. does!

Just want to add my !!!! Have fun at the game tonight and for the person wondering about the weather, I'm not near U S Cellular, but it just rained for about 5 minutes in Aurora.
-
I don't think it's cheating. A.J. has never claimed to be a homerun hitter and I believe he even said the stuff he's hit out of U.S. Cellular would have never been homeruns in Minnesota. Personally, I would rather see his beautiful blue eyes, but if the contacts help him hit - more power to him!

I have a Mike Brown jersey! He is my favorite Bears player and is just dominating on the field. GO BEARS and

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 07:28 AM) Rowand and AJ playing with sharks. That's JUST what we need. :headshake Where do you find this stuff? I am always looking for stuff about A.J.

Since birth. My dad and big brother are HUGE Sox fans and my sister is a Cub fan (we think she is adopted). My dad is a retired cop, so when I was little in the summer I would get to stay up late and watch the Sox games so I could fill my dad in on all the details when he got home from his shift. Now we live 15 miles apart and talk on the phone during the games. Only problem is he has cable and I have DirectTV so he sees the action first! What great memories!

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:58 PM) Sounds like maybe you're a giver... Did I mention I'm the splitting image of AJ? I was just trying to be funny but if the real A.J. Pierzynski was involved, well then maybe (We need a little devil emoticon)

QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) Had a bad game defensivley and on the basepaths. Hitting wise he did very well. Agreed.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) got it from an ex-gf, only good thing she ever did for me. I hope that was not the ONLY good thing she did for you. Of course that might explain why she's an ex-girlfriend.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) 83 road Fisk authentic, love it. Ohhh! I am jealous! I had a Fisk replica jersey, but it is sadly no longer with us.

My gray Pierzynski jersey (even though it hasn't been too lucky for us).

The guy had a bad game. Give him a break.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Last week it was Chavez, This week Timo, next week we will find another thing to put our collective eye on. Could it be A.J.? But only good things about him and lots of pictures and maybe his phone number and hotel room number and... maybe I'm getting a bit carried away here.
