Hermanson is doing a tremendous job as a closer but I still think a trade for a Billy Wagner would put us over the hump. So this way if we trade Marte we would definately be upgrading with Wagner. Marte has had his struggles one day looking like the left handed phenom from 03 and another day looking like garbage. He is too inconsistent. But we got the luxury to trade Marte because Politte and Cotts have been nothing short of tremendous for us. Plus no one knows when Hermanson's back will start acting up.

Oakland got a good deal for Mulder. Haren and Saarloos are good and Harden and Zito are exceptional.

Man Oakland is surging. Bot. 6 they lead Texas 1-7. They got terrific pitching and their bats are hot

Count just needs to keep that pitch count down. Its already at 58. Hope he doesnt waste allot pitches.

They got a special thing over there with Ortiz/Ramirez.

I think the red sox are concentratin more on J.C Romero because when Schilling is ready they'll probably put him in the rotaion and they can have J.C in the bullpen.

Im watching ESPNNEWS and Steve Phillips says nothing new. Orioles, Red Sox, and White Sox interested. Says he'd be best fit in Baltimore and that Jorge Julio would really appeal to Florida.

The only names that come to my head for first are Overbay or Hillenbrand.

I think he pitched great, probably his best outing since his first game against the Twinkies.

I wouldnt want Hatteberg exactly but I would want his stats in those situations. I think Konerko has the ability but he is just not producing enough at the right time. He is pulling too much to third base. Believe me, I'd be praising PK if he had respectable numbers with anyone on. He doesnt even need to get a basehit. If He could find a way to get on base via the walk, id like that. Or mve the runner along but thats the problem with him pulling so much to third. The runner cannot be moved along.

Pods gets on base and Iguchi moves him over. Runner in scoring position. Konerko is just not good with runners on or in scoring postion. I think if we had someone who got the job done more often we'd be scoring more runs.
