Hell yeah I'd do this trade if Konerko is in there. Contreras for Ted Lilly. We get a lefty who is better and cheaper. Hillenbrand could replace Konerko. He plays first and third and is hitting .297. AND basically Shingo and a prospect for Batista

My question is what would it take to get Schmidt, Vizquel, and Griffey Jr. on this team? ALl seem to be good guys and it shouldn't ruin team chemistry at all. If it won't take anything more than Count, Konerko and prospects then I would love to do this deal. I wouldn't mind losing Uribe and Harris from our ML roster as well. Please tell me that we can do these deals and realistically what it would take to get these guys? I gotta agree with you on everything. I feel the same way. It seems like everytime, especially lately, konerko has a runer on and he chops it to the third baseman for the out. There were also some infield hits, in particular in the Detroit series that any normal baserunner would beat out but of course this guy is always in slo-mo. We cannot count on him in the clutch. We wont trade him but I hope KW doesnt give him a contract after the season. As for Uribe, i dont know what we can do but we gotta do something. He cannot hit anything unless it is straight in the middle of the plate. Schmidt's price is ridiculous. On ESPNNEWS they said the Giants were asking Garland, everyday lineup guy, and one of the top prospects. I still think we should get Odalis Perez. OR it doesnt need to be a top-of-the-line pitcher either. I was listening to the Sox Post on AM1000 and this guy made allota sense. We gotta make sure El Duque is there in September and into the playoffs. With that said he mentioned Gil Meche and Mark Redman. This guy was using his head. With Uribe and Harris, I hope we see the end of them in chicago. KW should get a proven UTIL guy. I dont know who is available but Graff woulda looked nice in Chicago again.

I'd like an offense like the oakland A's. They make you work the count and walk a ton. They are not a power-hitting team but they get the job done. I dont see anyone on their team try to pull the ball. They just slap the ball the other way and bloop it. Kendall kept on doing it to us.

Im very disappointed in Konerko, Thomas, Pierzynski, and Uribe. Id like to see all three shipped out and get some quality guys that fits the demeanor of this team. The first three are extremely inconsistent and are terribly slow. Uribe is not a starter. His bat sucks. He is a defensive replacement for the ninth. That is all. Id like to see them get Odalis Perez, Omar Vizquel, and a replacement at first.

I see us making the playoffs but doing nothing much like 2000. Say all you want about the record but im looking at the real thing, the World Series, and there aint a chance in hell we making it or going deep in the playoffs unless our 'boppers' wake the f*** up. We need to make a couple of moves here before the deadline. I'd like to see Konerko gone and Uribe, and Pierzynski better start doing something or else him too. The only reason id keep him now is because of the way he handle the starters. We just beat ourselves tonight.

I dont want to mess with Iguchi. He's done everything that is expected from a number two guy. I can see you point though. He batted third in Japan and he has the ability to drive in runs. Its the middle of the lineup that needs some fixing plus Uribe. They must produce more in the second half.

Batista is like Hermanson. He can close as well as start. I dont think he is as injury prone. He'd look good on the South Side.

There is no reason why Freddy doesnt take his warm-ups seriously. He'd be more dominant if he erased all those first inning runs against. What was it... 16 runs in 20 first innings.

Julio Lugo is a great offensive player. .290 avg. / 3 HR / 36 rbi/ 27 SB. Some good stats. Im concerned with his defense though. Like someone said earlier he has like 15 errors.
