like I said, pierzynski sucks at the plate right now. I wish he could hit like he did against us when he was in a Twins uniform.. He's got a long uppercutting swing when he should have a short swing going the other way, especially with no outs leading off.

These Oakland players dont swing at many balls, even if they're really close. They adjust real good to the pitches. Thats why Garland threw 110+ in 5 innings. He didnt pitch all that bad just that they are a smart hitting team, especially this Crosby kid.

We will need an outstanding reliever in the bullpen for the playoffs. I think we need a proven lefty specialist so that when we do make the playoffs we can get through the teams (Boston in particular) with all those explosive left handed bats. Next in line is a starter but a lefty specialist is the most important for the playoffs and the World Series.

I dont want Roger to start. I dont even want him to show up. All the media attention will be on him instead of the All Star game itself. This guy shoulda had a a far more strict punishment than missing 4 starts. Its sad how athletes are held by the hand and given lee way on everything.
