LOL I wouldnt want him to do that cause then he'd be out for a long time! But seriously...I hope he's alright. AND just to update, Frank left with cramps in his left leg.
-
Hawk mentioned that it seemed that Frank reaggrevated his hip flexor while running out of the batter's box.

6/12 Game Thread - Garcia vs Lawrence
Ozzie Montana replied to aboz56's topic in 2005 Season in Review
If a save situation comes today, I'd like to have Politte throw out there for a save. There's no rule saying you can't give your closer a day off. Politte's been lights out along with Cotts lately and I feel a day off for Hermy is good for him and good for the team. Lets have a CHW WINNER!!!! -
i didnt expect hermy to save 100% of his save chances. All closers blow a game some time. I expect Hermanson will shake this outing off.
-
he is really struggling to throw first pitch strike and when that happens he fall behind in the count AND when that happens the hitters sit on his fastball and its hit a country mile. Whatever Cooper did with Cotts he should do to Shingo. I remember Cotts used to be like Shingo and he'd get hit around but then Coop sat down with him and ever since that he's been light out. Hope all goes with Takatsu cause I figure we'll need him later on. I all does not go well we should send him down to AAA and bring up Baj.

you know, maybe we should

I would like to see Everett play in right and get some at-bats , but the problem is dye is hitting pretty good right now and i want him to keep his focus and not lose his game plan at the plate going into the Padres series. Ozuna at second, (I guess it'd be best to platoon willie and pablo until the Gooch is 100%) everything else is ok ( the rest of the normal lineup that is)
-
Wagner will remain the closer with the Phillies and Uggy will be the setup man Me personally, I would rather have Chase Utley than Polanco cause Utley is a good power hitter who also hits for avg (just like Polanco)(*you can check his stats if you dont believe me) and he can also play a few positions (2nd and 1st) >which could have given konerko a break at first, and finally... Utley is cheaper than Polanco. That is my opinion.

Barmes is a huge player for the Rockies and he is one of the few on the team who I'm not too comfortable facing. BUT I wouldnt get too excited about Barmes abscence. per Yahoo Looks like they have someone(besides Barmes and Helton) who can put some numbers on the scoreboard. But I still think we should pull out of there with 2 wins. Rockies

I missed the game. Whats up with hermanson? Did he not have his stuff today? I heard on the radio he threw the ball away at third and they scored or something. Its ashame that we could not sweep the Indians PLUS those Twins won again... but lets go out there and get those rockies. On a side note... Ozzie should have had the usual lineup today and the bench people in there tomarrow, to give the starters the rest they would have needed after this homestand and travel. I guess we'll find out tomarrow. Also all of the pen was used except for Takatsu so we'll be short in the pen as well.
-
according to 670 ozuna will play at third and lead off. So here's my projected lineup... ozuna iguchi thomas konerko rowand dye everett widger uribe rowand and dye are picking it up so thats why i put everett number 7. widger will catch buerhle today. Lets sweep these Indians!

the high socks image looks good. On a side note, the only pitchers on the team who wear them are Marte and El Duque.

on the ozzie guillen show right before the game he said he hopes to play Everett in left so pods will get the day off. He was asked if they would play Frank in the interleague games and Ozzie said it depends on how he feels and practices. Ozzie should not put Everett in the field especially when its supposed to rain and it will be slick out there. I just don't want something to happen like that series in Cleveland where he rammed his shoulder in the wall. As for Frank, under no circumstances should Frank be playing defense, unless there is no one left on the bench later in the game. I'd rather put Timo out there and lose a game than losing Frank. Think about it Ozzie.

Who would you rather have sent down?
Ozzie Montana replied to Milkman delivers's topic in Pale Hose Talk
timo perez doesn't help the team out in defense or in offense. plain and simple. Willie is good for defense and speed and ozuna is versatile on the bases and is a pretty good bench player. -

I think ozzie should stop using the relievers as long relievers everytime they go out there. Use each for one inning (unless the starter only lasts like 5 innings or less) each and you can develop their roles in the pen. It could be vizcaino in the blow out games, takatsu in the 6th, cotts in the 7th, marte/ politte in the 8th, and Hermanson in the 9th. Now that would be one solidified pen. -
What is the biggest need for the White Sox now?
Ozzie Montana replied to Dam8610's topic in Pale Hose Talk
right handed reliever -
Timo Perez is a player that belongs in the NL. I can only see him as someone who comes in for the pitcher and is used in double switches because he is not someone i'd want batting four times in 1 game. *He IS NOT an everyday player. * I don't even like him on our bench cause his offense in not good and he is not appealing in the field either. Its true that he is a clutch hitter sometimes but i would much rather have Gload in his spot who can hit for decent numbers for a bench guy and is a good defensive player.

How many Eric Chavez topics will be created today?
Ozzie Montana replied to ISF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I cant count that high! -
it was mentioned earlier in the week that Walker would be the prime candidate to be sent down for El Duque so i wont worry about seeing him anytime soon...i hope.

GAME THREAD 6-1-2005 SOX VS HALOS
Ozzie Montana replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2005 Season in Review
Contreras did not have his stuff today. It seamed he kept on falling behind on the hitters giong 2-0 and 3-1 giving them a good pitch to hit. It doesn't help the cause when, before the game, Ozzie made some controversial moves with the lineup before the game even started. He put Timo Perez at first and he has not been there in like 6 yrs and you are expecting a close knit game and you have Perez there as a defense breakdown waiting to happen. If Perez was not in the game, the first 4 run inning would not have taken place. Either Pierzynski or Dye should have scored the runner from second instead of settling for the one run lead. This lead to Ozzie taking conrol of the game and making a decision of keeping Contreras in there or putting Walker in there. He had no idea with what he was doing with his bullpen..Simple as That. Take your day off and forget about today and lets go get those Indians. -

uhhh, Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie. Kevin Walker?! what are you thinking? he might as well have gone with marte since he isnt as rusty. Definately send down Walker on Friday. As for Vizcaino, send this useless guy down to the minors where he belongs! Bring up Adkins already. This bullpen is becoming more and more like the cubs pen with the exceptions of Politte, Cotts, and Hermy. This is disturbing seeing as we will be depending on the bullpen to keep us in the game this season. :headshake
