One guy who is need of some serious ripping is PK. 8.5 mil for a guy who's playing just aweful. I understand he's leading the team in HR and RBI's BUT that's his job. His approach at the plate right now is sickening. Since he is a leader on this team, why hasnt he addressed the horrific offense in a players only meeting? isnt that what leaders do? Look at the yankees. A-Rod did it earlier with the Yankees and now it seems they've been lighting everyone up. I dont expect the offense to do the same but come on guys, give the pitching a breather once in a while. I hear everybody saying the offense will turn it around, (Dye and Rowand are looking better at the plate) but im still worried about Konerko.

Ive been seeing that alot too, the only exceptions are Podsednik and Iguchi. One note on PODS... he has to hit the ball on the ground more to be more effective.

i voted for Ozzie taking out the Gooch and putting in Everett. Everett is just not seeing the ball right now. Strike out on three fastballs, 2 of which were cookies.

100%AGREED if this hitting doesnt pick up, his job could be in danger. We always want to put the blame on the hitters but Walker should be helping them get out of their funk but there are no signs of this happening. Isnt a hitting coach supposed to help you with your swing when you are clearly doing something wrong. I see two guys in particular, Crede and Konerko, uppercutting the ball and fouling off the cookies and this has been happening so far from about the time Crede lost his hitting streak.

Yesterday DJ said that one of the reasons Tak is struggling is becasue his pitching coach from Japan is not here. I Honestly see him as dead weight. He obviously is not turning it around. The hitters are sitting on his fastball and killing it it and he can no longer throw the frisbee for a strike. He is getting murdered out there. The only reason I see keeping him is to encourage that pitcher from Japan(I forget his name), who's supposed to be good, to come to the Sox. But I see no other reason for keeping him. (He's got nothing left KW!) :headshake Maybe we can deal him to a desperate team out there and get some decent prospects.

i say we drop Perez and keep McCarthy in the pen and keep developing him there just like we did with Buerhle. He could be a long relief guy for the team. He could take Cotts place in the pen and let Cotts get his work in at AAA. Maybe he could learn a new pitch or further develop his pitches. Viz is struggling but I think he'll turn it around soon. Just get him some innings and build his confidence up like they are right now and he'll be good. So I wouldn't give up on him yet cause he is an important asset to the Pen. Finally, Bring up Gload!
