  1. I just brought this game a couple minutes ago for the PS2. Thoughts, comments, game stories from anybody who has played the game... PLEASE! One thing I'm very disappointed in is the rosters. It's the roster before the lockout and now I have to get a roster updater. Anyone have a site they can offer for this? Let's here 'em.
  2. this definately sucks. I hope he fully recovers and hits the ice as soon as he is physically able.
  3. In the public league I'm in I have the following: C O. Jokinen (Fla - C) C S. Gomez (NJ - C) LW P. Kariya (Nsh - LW) LW O. Kvasha (NYI - LW) RW J. Iginla (Cgy - RW) RW B. Guerin (Dal - RW) D S. Gonchar (Pit - D) D B. Leetch (Bos - D) D M. Schneider (Det - D) D N. Boynton (Bos - D) *contract problems now he is NA BN J. Modry (Atl - D) BN C. Stillman (Car - LW) BN P. Sykora (Anh - RW) BN T. Arnason (Chi - C) G M. Denis (Cls - G) G K. Lehtonen (Atl - G) Basically I stocked up on wingers and defensemen first 8-10 rounds then centers and finally goalies. Denis was the best I could get at the time cause I took him in the 9th round and goalies went quick. I'm depending on Kari to be a HUGE sleeper and watching the wolves this season and a half I've got to say that he impressed(taken 14th round). I think I have a decent team. P.S, I had the third pick which I used to get red^
  4. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) Watching Baseball Tonight on ESPN, wouldn't you know the collapse talk has already begun. Although Reynolds and Kurkstan believe our pitching won't endure a slide such as that of the 64' Phillies, it's started--people have noticed our dwindling lead and will be making comparisons to past clubs until we clinch. Good. Maybe this will fire up this team because they know if they give all this away they will fall into the category of those elite clubs who choked sooo badly and will carry all that shame with them. Then they'll be recognized alright.
  5. QUOTE(Yoda @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Why even make a thread knowing that there are many optimistic people out there who are just going to come in here and say that the Sox are a-okay. BTW, The f*** with El Duque’s 9-2 Post season record. GREAT POST!!! We ARE spiraling right now.
  6. I don't know how realistic this would be but if I could work out a deal with the Brew-crew I would keep Paulie and put him at DH and put Overbay at first. I think the Sox should trade El Duque in the offseason and I'm not huge on Everett plus I'd prefer Overbay over him. I wouldnt exactly know all the players involved but this would be what it would end up being. Just a thought.
  7. All I can say is DAMN. I would have liked it if he went out with a bang after this year to see him one more time but it is his decision and his accomlishments will always be remembered.
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 03:36 AM) No longer a teen...its all downhill from here Congrats...have a good one!!!!! You beat me to it. I just saw at the bottom. The big(HUGE) 2-0. Enjoy yourself DBAHO! Don't get caught doing any illegal things. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Have a good one.
  9. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 09:20 AM) Great post! I am just worried about making the playoffs period right now! This team is like Jeckel and Hyde! I don't know how much more my wife can take. I am such a crab ass lately! main point. good post.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) Minnesota has the same elimination # as Colorado WOW. How sad is the NL West. Though it would be interesting for a team to win the division with a record under .500
  11. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Problem for this team all year has been it's failure to consistently hit with runners in scoring position. Add to that the most consistent problem of the starting pitching (God knows there's not many) is that when we score a run they give it right back.
  12. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) we have more hits, more BB, and twice as few runs That is the result of Ozzieball
  13. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 03:14 PM) Blum is now in. YIKES!
  14. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 03:06 PM) If you want to win/clinch don't you play your hot hans? BMAC has been super and we should be taking advantage of that. ditto. Whatever it takes to win, and not to get stats and awards.
  15. How good are garland's chances at the cy young award now? I hope after today Ozzie finds a spot in the rotation for BMac.
  16. I should really stop starting these game threads. So far things havent turned out good.
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) Carl Everetts baseball IQ=Pablo Ozuna's home runs Carl Everetts strike zone has no limiations Iguchi=:headshake for this game, i gotta agree with you but atleast carl robbed a homerun.
  18. This is definately a marquis matchup on national TV. Let's get back on track and end the skid. Only 35 BB in 194.2 IP by Colón. My advice is take your pitch, hit it hard, and string em together.
  19. Carl's probably tired since he's been in 113 games this year and only 82 last year and 73 the year before that. This is maybe a reason for his struggles.
  20. If only we had Frank. Everett was better when he had to split time with Frank.
