  1. Tony bashed me ealrier, completely unprovoked. Where were you to defend me then.
  2. I went to a Wheaton Warrenville football game last fall......they got their asses kicked.
  3. Agreed. Tomorrow is big. Buerhle's the stopper so lets hope he does what he's paid to do.
  4. I thing we should have Crede stuffed and put on display, just as a warning to other Sox prospects that they had better pan out.
  5. Lower section is sold out and upper deck box is too. Probably 35,000 there, i'll bet. Maybe more.
  6. At least the Sox offense won't be the worst to take the field tomorrow. The Angels stink too.
  7. Nope, I'm a 24 year old grad student. My older brother just graduated law school, so we have more in common than you'd care to admit. If only you weren't a cock-eyed optimist.
  8. Sorry, I enjoy the banter and don't take it personally. I love the Sox as much as anyone and defend them strenously when I'm among Cub fans. I thought I could find solace in a site like this where I could bash their shortcomings among those who would feel my pain.
  9. Jimmy, lighten up a bit. You must have gone to Mount Carmel.
  10. I'd give up 20 years of your life to achieve greatness in my field.
  11. He has also only pitched 2.2 innings. He has walked 3 in those 2.2, also. He might pan out, but.....
  12. I was there when Pasqua hit it to the concourse. What a shot.
  13. You mean Walker's not the answer? Big f***ing shock.
  14. Yeah, so what. He was also the greatest newspaper columnist ever. Over Breslin, Mencken, Runyan, all of them. I'd give up ten years of my life for greatness in my field. So he smoked, drank, and started bar fights. Big deal.
  15. Well, at least you're a Royko fan. I assume?
  16. Love is not forthcoming. You seem like an eternal optimist in regards to the Sox. I'll leave you with this quote from Mike Royko, whom you may or may not have forgotten about on the West Coast. "Show me somebody who is always smiling, always cheerful, always optimistic, and I will show you somebody who hasn't the faintest idea what the heck is really going on."
  17. Perhaps, but I still value slugging and On-base percentage over simple batting average.
  18. There are a plethora of first basemen I would take over Grace from his era. McGuire, Thomas, Bagwell, Palmeiro, Clark, Mo Vaughn, Mattingly. What is Grace's career slugging percentage?
  19. The White Sox offense is more atrocious than a Chicago Catholic League football team's.
  20. He is proven only if MEDIOCRITY is your standard. The truth is he has never been feared, save for his one lights out year in Boston. And tomorrow he'll return to where he belongs.....sitting on the bench.
  21. No its not, your right. Everett is still mediocre at best. At least Kenny-boy won't have to give up any prospects for him this year.
  22. Grace was barely a .300 hitter...not .330 and up. Poor inference on your part.
  23. Maybe I'll just flee to california.
  24. You just made my point for me by claiming that Everett plays a power position and can't hit for power. Thank you.
