  1. Make that Detroit, Columbus and quite possibly Nashville. Since they are all in the Eastern Time Zone, it would make sense.
  2. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...-chorus-of-boos Bold font is my doing. I could have really scalded these two for what they said about Adam's struggles, i.e. "not giving away any at bats...100 Ks before HALF the season isn't giving any at bats away???" and blah blah blah, but then I read the next quote: IMHO - Dunn should just shield off everyone else except his captain, Konerko; his batting coach Walker, and Ozzie about anything related to hitting, and tell the rest of the league/fans/media/etc to STFU.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) Well done Sale. Really, the blame goes on nobody but the offense at this point. Humber threw 6 2/3, gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He pitched phenomenally. You have to win when your pitcher has an outing like that. Especially when you have 7 hits and only score 1 run. Yet Dunn is still in the lineup, and hitters such as Viciedo, Gallagher, De Aza and Kuhn are STILL toiling in the minors.
  4. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) Yep. That ex-Florida Marlins hitting coach...is he available???
  5. http://www.pitchingclips.com/players/nevin_griffith.htm Don't know how old this is but this is a GIF of Nevin's pitching mechanics...this was probably during his high school days. Kind of Daniel Hudson-esque the way his arm sweeps across his body.
  6. For the year so far at B'ham: 14 GS 70.1 IP 54 hits 53/51 Runs/Earned 56 WALKS (YUCK) 57 Ks 6.53 ERA (uh-oh) Hitters are averaging .214 off of Nevin 1.57 GO/AO 4 HR allowed all year long. I'll try to find some newspaper articles next of note.
  7. June has been so - so for Nevin. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=518746 4 games 22.2 IP 14 hits allowed 11/10 Runs/Earned 19 walks (EWWWW) 17 Ks. 3.97 ERA Hitters are averaging .194 BA off Nevin for June. 2.45 GO/AO There is one good bright spot. 1hr allowed for June, so far. Wild. Very wild.
  8. Stats: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...&pid=592665 Birmingham stats since his promotion: 4 games 7.1 IP 5 hits allowed 2 Runs/Earned 3 walks 10 Ks Hitters average a .192 BA against Reed. 0.22 GO/AO (for those of you who follow this stat)
  9. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 12:15 AM) I actually think, this game even tho they lost, will actually turn things around for the club. To see the team compete like that is quite encouraging. Frustrating to lose a game where to came back 3 different times, and had chances to win it too, but just having that compete and determination will be able to lift the team. I agree. Too much negativity from past posts. Time for something positive. Yeah it's still a loss. The big picture is the Sox don't lose any ground.
  10. Just saw the videos from BHTV re McNeill and Danault. Great, great picks everyone, from what the TSN feed said. Pierre McGuire was very positive and favorable about McNeill's game, and Danault's character.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:54 PM) We also have Salak. And they now have Skille and Campbell lol.
  12. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:50 PM) Hard part is over. Who knows if Olesz is even someone they want, but a 3.1 million dollar cap hit player shouldn't be hard to move if they want. Hawks just became major players in the FA market. I also expect to see Sharp signed in the next week to ten days. Brad Richards....your table is ready at 1901 W. Madison, sir.
  13. Phillip Danault, 2nd of Chicago's first round picks tonight, 26th overall. http://www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectdetail...575&tab=scr
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) Rostislav Olesz is one of the guys coming back to the Hawks. 25 year old F, 7th overall pick in 2004. I like it!!! The Big O!
  15. per Tim Sassone: Winger Rostislav Olesz and center Steven Reinprecht coming back from Florida for Campbell, per multiple sources. #blackhawks
  16. phillip danault, the hawks new lw pick, is on nhl radio.

  20. Wow, what value the Hawks got for a 7th-round draftee in Troy Brouwer years later, eh? Not too shabby. Interested to see who the Hawks will now pick at 26.
  21. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 10:47 AM) FDR was my first Pres. Touche!!!!
  22. I guess at this point, the majority of the remaining unsigned players will probably decide closer to Mid/End of July, seeing that Bristol and GF's rosters are set. Right?
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 07:56 AM) The F***? The other 4K+ was at the Earth Wind and Fire concert. As I should have been, sans rain.
  24. Here's what has to happen. 1) Pierre - You know the Sox want anything in return. Or Ozzie will still play his teacher's pet at the top of the lineup much to the dismay of this White Sox fan. So Pierre would probably be a deadline day trade (July 31st) in order to get some kind of compensation. That should open the door for Carlos Quentin to slide to LF, then Dayan can play RF. 2) Rios - what to do what to do. The Arizona series had me interested in Rios again, but it just looks like he's thinking way too much at every home game. He's not going anywhere, again much to the dismay of Sox fans, because Brent Lillibridge deserves PT time. *SIGH* Nothing to do with Viciedo but IMHO.
