I'd like to see Christian Marrero at AAA soon. Would like to see what else he could provide. James Gallagher........I would like to see him in the bigs and see if he can be a fourth outfielder/bench player for the Sox.

I'm trying to update my AAP Addison Reed post w/ a couple of YouTube videos, however when copying the embed code, it's not displaying the video right. Here's the code that I'm trying to embed in my post. Any ideas?????

QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) I think our offense got screwed with that off day and the postponed game Our offense gets screwed every time they see Juan Pierre - leadoff, LF. -

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) This Hudson guy is pretty good. Why can't we come up with a good young pitcher like him? -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 09:50 PM) Typical 1 hit in 4 innings but Walker still gets paid the 15th and 30th. And don't forget the professional hitters that the Chicago White Sox employ too. They're laughing all the way to the bank. -

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) I could really go for a nice greasy cheeseburger with grilled onions. Sigh. I miss my ol' italian combo dog and beef from Portillo's. -

Guys, check out the bold names on Baseball America, as far as who's signed: http://www.baseballamerica.com/draftdb/201...m.php?team=1026 #7 Kevan Smith #16 Chris Bassett #18 Bryan Blough #37 Todd Kibby Also, some hopeful good news on my hopeful AAP Jeff Soptic, #3: http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/2011/j...ger/?tigerextra -
Check out the numbers from the Charlotte/PawSox game. Remember Andy Miller, the sixth overall pick by the TIGERS waaaaayyyy back when? K'd 10 in 5 innings. Give you a hint. Dallas McPherson was 1-6 with 5Ks tonight. In fact, Pawtucket K'd 17 Knights AND THEY STILL LOST! Dylan Axelrod.....Dylan Axelrod...Dylan Axelrod. Time to start the Helium Watch for this guy?

Daniel Black GRAND SLAM!!! Yeah baby numero doce! Don't care what league it is, 10 RBIs in 3 games is pretty darn cool! Brady Shoemaker has pretty much had a full year at Kanny, dating back last year. Looking at the numbers, he's ready to jump to WS. Don't know what else he needs to work on. ummmm....Michael Blanke had 3 errors tonight at WS. All throwing errors. Yuck.

Has anyone been following the prequel to Alien, the movie called "Prometheus"? http://www.celebrityviplounge.com/charlize...-alien-prequel/
-
Can't wait to see Green Lantern.
-
Daniel David Black is having quite the last few games at Kanny. T2. Ugh. Tapped into his bad Jared Mitchell today. Leesman in AA...no hitter through 5.2 IP, 7Ks.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) I see a 4th outfielder or a 2nd division starter at best. Which is what I see too. Maybe I should have said "if he continues to develop and progress he might be an asset in some way shape or form for the parent club or another team". All that I'm wanting to see is any of the OF prospects develop into ballplayers for the South Side as a fan, that's all. Call it what anyone will, false hope, homerism, whatever. And if some/any of them turn out something then all the better. I guess that is hope in a relative sense, sure. I will tell you this: from what I've seen of Jordan Danks when he used to play ball at UT to today, the kid has talent. Just needs to put it together. Yes, time is against him but so what? If he doesn't make it as a starter, then what were we expecting as a 19th/later a 7th rounder?
-
Encouraging: Jordan Danks - May stats alone: .286/.336/.582/.918 That .918 stands out A TON. Great to see. Also, his K to AB ratio shows improvement: 21ks, 98 ABs, almost a 1:5. 20 runs and 20 RBIs for the month is great too.
-
Good to see Jordan Danks staying consistent in the batters box. Nothing earth shattering but still, our farm system needs that from him. Now if he slowly improve his BA and his OBP, he could become a major prospect for the Sox's outfield again.

Charlotte lost 2-1 to the PawSox. http://ow.ly/5g087 Milledge HR Danks and Lucy 2-4 Kevin Millwood was pitching for the PawSox. Birmingham blanked Mobile 6-0 http://ow.ly/5g0cp Doyle 6IP, 5 hits, 6Ks Kuhn, Short, Marrero and Greene, 2 hits apiece. HR: Greene, J (6, 3rd inning off Newby, 0 on, 0 out), Marrero (10, 6th inning off Newby, 0 on, 0 out), Loman (7, 6th inning off Newby, 0 on, 2 out). Addison Reed: 2 IP, 2 walks, 3Ks. WS is leading 8-0 after 5 innings. http://ow.ly/5g0ik HR: Saladino, Bour, Gac Mitchell 1-3 Saladino 3 RBIs Kannapolis stomped Delmarva 12-0. http://ow.ly/5g0lf Dan Black had a game...3-5, 3 runs scored, 4 RBIs, 1 HR. Kevin Dubler had a triple and a HR, him too. T2 - 2-4, double, 2RBIs, 1k. Juan Silverio was played 2b. 1-4, double. Thought he was a SS/3b?

AND here we.....go.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) Has anyone seen Super 8 yet? I was planning on seeing it in IMAX tonight, but I'd like to hear some reviews. http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.d...VIEWS/110609989

You know, I hate getting old, getting more and more cynical every year. Got to remember it's a marathon, not a sprint. Great game guys!!!
