darn it, can't get Dunn home.
-
I REALLY don't get that bunt attempt when we're down a run, and NO OUTS. WTF OZ?!?!?
-
What happened???

Interesting blog about Buster Posey's injury and how long his rehab might take. Maybe ready in time for the playoffs, if the Giants make it?? http://www.sbnation.com/2011/5/27/2192419/...-giants-surgery

Let's see what Humber does in the Dog Days of baseball. Still has to prove that he can put it together for a full year. But...so far, very good!

QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 7, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) My view of Ramirez is he's a complimentary player, nothing special. Disagree. By a country mile. You don't have SSs who can hit over .280, get double digit HRs and play stellar SS day in and day out on trees. You either draft them, trade for them or sign them as a UFA/international player. The White Sox struck gold with him. He may not be an Albert Pujols-special player, but he's right up there.

1st mock draft that I can find, so far. BTW, this says Goodwin, a former Sox pick from last year, won't last past pick 25. http://www.mlbbonusbaby.com/2011/5/24/2187...draft#storyjump

QUOTE (flavum @ May 26, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) Real nice outing for Griffith, which is...new. That's my AAP! 78 pitches in 8 innings?!?!? WOW.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 26, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) I was thinking that as I posted that He's still going to be a .280-.290 hitter at the top of the lineup. You could do far worse. Financially and organizationally speaking though, he's not going to hurt us nearly as much as having Dunn/Rios struggle. as much as I have been bashing Pierre......if he continues to get on base in any way and cause havoc, fine. That's his job and he should be doing that extremely well.
-
I've noticed, according to Gameday, that Humber threw his curve pretty much half the time that inning. As long as he keeps mixing in his other pitches, he'll be ok.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:37 PM) Yeah, Rice. I must have been thinking of Lance Broadway or one of those guys. McCulloch? I think he and Danks went to Texas. Maybe one of those pitchers will actually turn out okay, Niemann's been a sort of decent fifth starter except for when he faces the White Sox. Yep. Broadway went to TCU. McCulloch and Jordan Danks went to TX. John Danks was drafted out of high school, Round Rock, nearby Austin. Niemann went to Rice as well. Some pretty good Texas pitchers. Well...most of them. Taylor Jungmann from UT looks like the real deal, IMHO, to be drafted in the first or supplemental round. Jus' sayin'.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) Ok, but what does that even mean? I don't get it. Sorry JoeCool24. He made a good mock pic of Adam Dunn, calling him Adam Derp and had his eyes crossed; looking all guffaw-like. Now he re-did it with the moniker Adam Damned with his eyes all white-out and flames in the background. Basically just taking a jab at Dunn for fun, and for the bust so far that Dunn is.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:32 PM) Who/what the hell is Derp? See Steve9347's sig. That's sweet. Oh, and now it's Damned.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:30 PM) How did Baylor lose any games when they had Aardsma, SS Paul Janish, Humber, Jeff Niemann and the other pitcher who went 8th in the 1st round? Wow... You mean Rice? I might be wrong.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:26 PM) Viciedo is 1/1 with an RBI. And yet Pierre still patrols LF. And Lillibridge still sits on the bench. And Derp....oh never mind.
-
In the meantime, Hummer keeps humming along. Good to see.
-
Well. Nice to see Derp in MidSeason form. And I see that Ozzie is saying a big FU to all at Soxtalk with calling for that bunt attempt.
-
Well, originally, my goal for Derp was to hit above his weight. But I think that's now too high for him to attain. By 200 points. The way it's going.
-
J4L, those WAR stats are depressing me, pal...WHERE'S MY EXTRA ZOLOFT?!?
-
Bump. I was actually looking for the FIRE OZZIE OR FIRE KW THREADS, but this will do.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ May 25, 2011 -> 05:56 PM) Ozzie pinch hit for and with the wrong guy, should have let Morel bat. Or Omar F'in Vizquel, WHO IS A SWITCH HITTER!!!!! -
Wait guys, we're just wasting our time here with this. After all, when he finally gets here, Ozzie will put him in the doghouse for being THE NEXT HYPED SOX PROSPECT, play him one game in which he'll miss a bunt assignment, and never see the light of day for the next 6 days afterwards.
