  1. Hey there guys. Is there going to be a write-up about the upcoming draft, and who the Sox might draft with their first round choice? Thanks.
  2. How happy was the trib's sports website happy to see the flubs win? The leadoff story is not about the World Champs, its about the north side minor league team. :banghead
  3. I would rather vote for one of his old mates, Craig Biggio.
  4. I guess he did pretty good today, considering the box.
  5. QUOTE(Felix @ May 29, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) He does? Well, okay. I'll put down the paint stripper. :banghead So he has TALENT. Just wonder what gives this year?
  6. This is going to be a good one. On one side, C-bass who's nails right now. In this corner, Burlymon who's just throwing peas. If Mark can find his spots, Sox will win.
  7. Forgive me father for I have sinned. I fell asleep during the last two innings of today's Sox game. Really. I'm stripping the wooden floor in my office, getting rid of that @#^@#^@ carpet finally, and yesterday and today it's stripper day. Dang, those fumes are enough to knock you out.
  8. Is it a mental thing with Jonny right now? He has all-world talent...wonder why he's pulling a James Baldwin this year. One bad inning every game, the rest of the innings....all well, you know.
  9. Wasn't there a Baines-Luzinski-Kittle sometime during the 80s? Maybe I was too small to remember back then. Dang, though; this 3-4-5 is just a slight edge better than Ventura-Thomas-Franco though.....or remember for one season, Thomas-Ellis Burks-Ventura!!!! (93)
  10. Ahhhhhhh yes....it IS a great day to be a Sox fan!
  11. Thanks guys, sorry about the archives.
  12. I was looking for today's game thread. Was it deleted when the game was over???
  13. Wow....even though AJ is about to get cheap-shot, good pics.
  14. Seems that OZ takes the high road on this one. He showed a little class in the interview. Wonder what AJ will say?
  15. WORST. THREAD. EVER. BA mans up. Sox pride, baby!
  16. QUOTE(S720 @ May 10, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) From the last several games, watching Jenks has been kind of scary. It seems like he doesn't have his high-heat velocity like last year. I've seen too many 93, 94, 95 MPH fastballs, and that is not good. Jenks' fastballs are straight with no movement. Hitters will kill him if his curveball or hook does not work. Hopefully, Jenks will get back his 99, 100, 105 MPH fastballs! Only then, I will stop worry about our closer. Since when did 93-95 mph become "slow'??? a) maybe our winning baseball coach is trying to coach jenks that you don't have to throw 99 to get people out. B) okay, maybe something is terribly wrong. maybe he has lost his stuff. He's still getting people out. c) ummmm.....see a and b.
  17. Well, considering how Bogusevic has been stinking up at A ball, then let's talk about Carillo and Broadway. IMO, maybe the Sox saw something more long term in Broadway, and maybe they saw that Carillo might be nothing more than a reliever when he gets to the show. Dunno. But it's nice to see two prospects getting some love in AA. And nice to see Broadway's WHIP.
  18. You know, we should do our own Draft here at SoxTalk............
  19. Winning lefty pitchers on your team + a long term deal = MANY, MANY HAPPY RETURNS ON YOUR INVESTMENT. KW, I have faith in you buddy. You'll get 'em done. Burlymon, what a hell of a game last night. Keep on keepin' on.
  20. http://www.texassports.com/doc_lib/000_sta...06/teamcume.htm He's uniform #15, fourth from the top. .327 BA w/7 2bs, 5 triples and 2 homers. 7 for 7 in SBs, however 23Ks in 107 ABs.
  21. QUOTE(C_LEE45 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:57 AM) iam comming from the plainfeild area and i take i-55 to the ryan ,now that the ryan is closed how is the best way to get to the ballpark? thanks Used to live in Bolingbrook myself, here's a back way. I-55 to Ashland, turn right on Ashland going south. Ashland South to 35th St, turn left on 35th. Take 35th all the way in. Also, maps.google.com can be your best friend.
  22. LMAO. This is that stupid Freddie Garcia post, part two, right??? End result: the Sox win. So the Sox have to score 10 runs to give Garland the win. Big deal!
  23. guys guys guys..... If anyone falters from our starting rotation, then we have a pretty darn good equalizer: Two words: Brandon McCarthy.
