  1. Does anyone else, after reading that article, feel like we're in the twilight zone???
  2. Nice report guys! But where is Ryan Rodriguez? I would've considered him a darkhorse. Also, what about Tyler Lumsden? If he gets on track this year, he can easily be in the top 10.
  3. Boone Logan, your table is ready.
  4. Just joined......how 'bout a Blackhawks joint as well?!?!??
  5. All last week, I was lambasting at the national media for not showing much about the World Champs on that 4-letter station. Thank you, Frank and KW!!!!!!!!!
  6. No matter what, you gotta give him his due, being the savior of the White Sox in the 90s.
  7. Joe Crede, sort of??? OK, maybe he's not batting around .280-.300 with 40 HRs, but he plays a solid defense, has a good-to-great arm and has come up in timely situations with the bat. What more do you need?
  8. It's all about professionalism, baby! Take the quiz: Which White Sox Postseason Moment Are You? Jermaine Dye's GW 1B in Game 4 You are professional, well spoken for and an MVP in every sense of the word Quizzes by myYearbook.com -- the World's Biggest Yearbook!
  9. Hell, at 6 mil, Bulin better get off a 10 game winning streak...and soon.

    For those over 30...

Hell, what about Commodore 64s, Apple IIes and Atari 2600s? No wonder why my mind is still on Pong.
  11. Wow, Kenny was a busy GM in '04, eh? And not a bad comp pickup in Gio Gonzalez, which helped the Sox land Jim Thome. Very good and observant wheeling and dealing.
  12. I said it on another thread...."Jeff Bajaneru, your table is ready, sir..."
  13. I may catch a ton of flack for even saying this. But Jerry does deserve a lot of credit right now. I won't say that he's given free reign to Kenny Williams to mold the team into a winner, but at least it doesn't look like he's a Bill Wirtz-alike either now. You won't here me complain that the Sox are only thinking about the bottom line; it's more like a "championship-caliber ballclub while preaching fiscal responsibility." Great job Jerry, you deserve it after all these years. It's about time!
  14. The only reason why people hate the trade is because we're giving up a great stud prospect in Chris Young. With Chris' stock on the top of the pillar right now, you can command any good pitcher in the right trade. Chalk this one as one of those good trades. And for those who are saying we need bullpen help.... "Jeff Bajaneru, your table is ready, sir..."
  15. Lemme get this straight. We could get Hank Blalock...Hank effin' Blalock, allegedly?!?!?!? You think that Jim Thome is going to put a hurtin' on those right field bleachers?!?!? Wait until you see Hammerin' Hank get a piece of the action. And whoever is saying that Hank stinks at the 3b bag must be on something. Hank has played numerous games straight without an error, and his range is comparable to Joe's. Plus, Hank hits for more power, a little higher BA and is a lefty hitter, something that the Sox could add to their prominent right-hitting lineup. I say go for it. And if the Rangers are allegedly throwing in a top prospect, all the more better.
  16. At the right price, I would do it. It would be an upgrade, hitting wise. I thought that Tony G was pretty decent with the glove though. That must've been the games I was just watching though
  17. Okay, with all of the Florida Marlins firesale talk.... If the GM of the Marlins called KW today, and said: "Dontrelle Willis is for sale, and I want Brandon McCarthy..." Would you do this trade??? This should be an interesting discussion. Personally, this would be one of the very, very few names that I would even consider trading BMac for, so yes I would, given DWills track record. Discuss.
  18. If the Sox are looking to add another lefty in the pen, why not take a look at guys like Bill Murphy (Diamondbacks) or Matt Coenen (Braves)? J.D.Martin, just by name alone, is intriguing. Does anyone know his med history???
  19. If the defense keeps up the great work against the Steelers, why do we need Rex in there?
  20. All I remember, when Nathan Vasher was here in Austin returning punts, was that he was a threat EVERY TIME to break one, maybe two, punts per college game. He would give the Bears an X-factor on special teams that would be an upgrade compared to what they have now. I understand you don't want to put your starter out there, but still.....I really, REALLY wish he was back there.
  21. Hook 'em Horns. That game against Ohio State set the tone for them. And the game against Texas A&M gave them a sense of urgency to get the job done. Remember - the Horns have that same defensive coordinator, who's name escapes me, from Auburn a year ago. It took a bit, but the defense has gelled to the point of shutting teams down when it counts. Yeah, Reggie Bush and LenDale White will get theirs but so will Rashonce Taylor and Jamaal Charles, the two headed monster back there for UT. Should be an awesome game.
  22. All Nate Vasher does is get picks and score touchdowns. Why isn't he returning punts? He did that at UT all the time.
  23. For the experts: Please chart the White Sox's C prospects, in terms of defense only, from top to bottom. I'm interested to find out where Stewart would rank with the Lucy's, Hernandez's, etal. Thanks.
