I agree with the rave reviews in here about Django. Awesome movie. And Tarantino is amazing for bringing us these characters played by Christoph Waltz. I love that dude.

Loved season one of Homeland. Just started season two and it's already seeming a bit contrived. After 8 years of training and the mission failing, I'd figure Brody would need to be killed off by Al Qaeda. It didn't seem believable that Abu Nazir would agree to let him lay low and infiltrate the administration in order to "influence policy“. You'd think he would start to question his loyalty after failing to complete his mission. And who cares if he killed Tom Walker. That didn't prove anything.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 01:27 AM) Yea, things change. I got out of college and changed, Rahm has obviously fallen way short of what I expected too. Did you go to American Evangelical Christian University?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 29, 2012 -> 01:29 PM) Django Unchained was awesome. Waltz probably deserves another nomination for it. Checking it out tomorrow. Can't wait.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 03:19 PM) That's not what I'm saying, maybe it was more of not scouting the opponent enough, I don't know but the 49ers ran a lot of plays that looked like the Bears were totally not expecting, I recall the MNF TV crew also mentioning that. That's precisely what I'm saying though. Every team practices just as hard very single week in the NFL. Unexpected results occur when bench players start, folks get injured, opponents come up with out-of-the-norm game plans, etc.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 02:59 PM) You think maybe the Bills slept on the Steelers that game? No. I think they didn't have enough material to prepare for a team full of guys who rarely play.
-
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) The Bears looked totally unprepared against the 49ers for one. But do you really think they lollygagged all week leading up to the game? Coaches were slacking and the players left practice early each day?

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) Lions are certainly not a team to sleep on, ton of top end talent on that team. Not to pick on you since I say things like this quite often but is there ever a scenario where an NFL team sleeps on an opponent and comes unprepared? With so few games in a season I'd think every opponent is taken seriously. I think the saying only works for fans and gamblers.

Started Homeland last weekend. Just finished episode 6 of season 1 last night. So far so good.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) And btw, you're the one like two pages ago that said you'd support banning certain types of guns. I'd support banning all guns, period, but I know that would never happen and I'm in the minority. I'll go for the next best thing which is heavier regulation, monitoring, and penalties.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 10:20 AM) Giants did not need help Week 17. They got in solely by winning. Must be miserable being you.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 10:10 AM) I'm sure there would be a minimal decrease at a substantial cost to the 99.9% of gun owners and users that own/use their guns legally. Lives are more important than gun owners' "costs". Nice to see your priorities are in order. And again, who's saying ban guns? Adding a registry for all guns, a fingerprinting database, closing gun show loopholes, etc. doesn't prevent legal gun owners from obtaining guns. I have yet to see you agree with or come up with any idea to change current gun controls laws/rules. Your entire attitude comes off as "why bother" so why do you devalue human life so much?
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) All of those things are just bulls*** hoops to jump through. Not one of those things would prevent anyone from doing something criminal with a gun. I'd guarantee that if done properly, we'd see decreases in gun homicides over time.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 08:55 AM) The same amount of students are killed nearly every year in Chicago. I don't see much outrage over that. You honestly don't understand why the human psyche has a bigger reaction to a class full of small children all being mowed down in one incident as opposed to one child at a time sporadically throughout the year?

Yeah who gives a s*** about a class full of 6 and 7 year olds. No idea why this sparked outrage.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 28, 2012 -> 08:06 AM) What is backing into the playoffs and getting clobbered in the first round really worth? Does that really make you feel that much better about the Bears? It does nothing for me. You've never seen a team unexpectedly fly through the playoffs?
