BTW was last night the first Thome chant at USCF? Before his 4th AB the crowd began a "Tho-me! Tho-me!" chant. It's the first one I've heard in person at the park this year. Was pretty cool.

...I just think the White Sox will start to look at Sweeney or even possibly Fields next year...
Hopefully to play LF. Dye can stay.
From today's Trib:
It's virtually certain Jose Contreras will be limited to one inning, at most, at Tuesday's All-Star Game.
That became clearer Thursday after White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen set his rotation for the second half so Contreras will open July 14 against New York at Yankee Stadium, followed by Mark Buehrle and Freddy Garcia.
The rotation is aligned so Contreras (9-0) will start the final game of a three-game series at Detroit on July 20 and will get an extra day of rest because of a day off in between the Yankees and Tigers series.
Jon Garland and Javier Vazquez will start the first two games of the Detroit series at Comerica Park.

He didn't look that bad today. He was getting ahead of hitters more ...
He was? Were you watching a tivo'd game from earlier in the season?

What did he say?
Pretty much a simple thanks for 'Punching AJ'. Said it meant a lot to him. Was a very cool moment.
Just got back. Great to see AJ after we won it for him. He was able to get on a mic and thank us all before the game. Great to see the bats come alive once again.
Oh yeah, time for Cliff to go. He was booed off the field. Sad really.
EDIT: And the Sox are now 10-3 with me in attendance. I need to go more.

Last year, they announced Pods had won before the 7th(?) inning the night the polls closed. -- We should probably know before then end of gametime tonight.
I'll be there tonight. I can only imagine how awesome it'll be if they announce that he won.

Your number seems to be saying that the more pitches he throws, the less effective he becomes. But yesterday, he gave up hits to the first two batters...
He struck out the first batter he faced yesterday and then went to go relax for ten minutes before facing his next batter.

Does anyone know of a website which shows the current number of sellouts for each MLB team? I would think the White Sox would be near the top in that category.
The Sox will have 25 at the All-Star break. Very impressive!
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/attendance which is total attendance. I doubt we have the highest number of sellouts.
