  1. The way we're hitting we probably weren't going to win.
  2. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) .620 OPs against righties, compared to .442 OPS against lefties, so it's quite a difference. Touche
  3. I know nobody cares but i'm flipping around to different games on gameday and Ryan "Lidge" Dempster loads the bases with no outs in the 9th.
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Problem is, Anderson ain't good at against lefties. If you're going to start him it should be against righties, but Machowiak is getting the majority of the starts there now. When you say better against righties you mean he's still bad but slightly better.
  5. Man our offense can be painful to watch at times.
  6. I could see Javy getting 2 more batters. Hopefully all 3 if he can retire the 1st 2 quickly.
  7. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 09:06 PM) My Uncle (a catcher) pulled the "wooden Indian" trick during his high school days. His pitcher was getting squeezed, so he called for a high fastball. He didn't move. The umpire went down to the ground. My uncle was thrown out. ROFLMAO!!!
  8. Getting Blake would be huge. Would guarantee Javy another inning.
  9. I hope Mark has his A game tomorrow because our bullpen will need it.
  10. Javy doesn't get a chance to sit down before he has to get back out there. Sheesh.
  11. 2 straight innings with an out after 1 pitch. 2 outs here after 3 pitches. Yay.
  12. Pregunta: Gates open 2 hours before the 1st pitch? Going Sunday and want to ensure my daughter gets a give-away.
  13. Damn we need some runs. Our bullpen will be getting a lot of work tonight.
  14. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) 7 out of 11 outs recorded by Vazquez have come via the K. Too bad he's thrown so many pitches and given up so many hits. He might have had a shot at 20.
  15. Not sure how many more times we can escape all these threats (as Javy strikes out Hafner again).
  16. I can't remember the last time 1 of our starters had a chance to go 8 innings. It's probably only been a couple games but it feels like 3 weeks.
  17. Frank hits his 15th of the year off Randy Johnson. This question is directed towards Thomas supporters. I already know what the haters will say. What would our team look like this year had we kept Rowand and signed Frank to an incentive laden contract? Perhaps we could have used some of the Thome money towards bullpen help? I know it's a stretch but what do you think? I'm not saying it's something I would have supported but we might not be much worse than we already are. I'd imagine our 3-4-5 hitters would have been Dye, PK, and then Frank.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) Hell, Ozzie said that Crede will probably start tomorrow. I thought I heard him say he'd be ready by Saturday. And that was from Crede's mouth not Herm's.
  19. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Crede/Sweeney? If Crede's back injury is worse than indicated. Oh...I meant Fields.
