QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 24, 2012 -> 07:49 PM) Go ahead blame Robin Ventura for people not doing their job. Its much easier that way. I blame Robin for not doing his job, which is learning how to manage a bullpen properly. -

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 24, 2012 -> 07:46 PM) Ventura once again showing he couldn't manage a bullpen if his life depended on it. This -

Can anyone state, with a straight face, that they'd rather see Danks starting these games instead of Wise? -
I still think health insurance should cover everything including eyes and teeth. It's just another part of your body so it would be like seeing another specialist such as a podiatrist or urologist.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) Great win! But where the hell are all the fans?? Did school start already? I bet that's the smallest crowd the Yankees have played in front of all season. With dynamic pricing, tickets to see the Yankees start at $500.

8/20 Yankees at White Sox

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) I can buy that. I'm just saying this board is too predictable from the 6th inning on ... total second guessing of Robin and Coop when the PITCHERS fail. I do hear what you are saying and you make a good point. But it's not rocket science. Robin goes with the roster he has. And he has some ultra crap relief pitchers to throw in there. Let's say that Robin batted Hudson cleanup in the next series vs Detroit and he struck out 6 times in that series with the bases loaded, causing us to get swept. Would you still blame the players for failing and not the questionable managerial decision? -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) You guys are crazy second guessing all this managerial stuff. At some point you blame the s***ty pitchers for not getting the job done. At least I do ... why blame the fricking manager? He's not throwing meat up there and walking TONS of hitters. You seriously come off as completely clueless. You have a guy in the pen who's only job is to get lefty's out and you keep him in to face a righty and get burned....it's your fault as a manager. When a guy fails in particular situations at a very high clip then you don't put him in that situation. Why is this so hard to understand? -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) I could turn that question around to the naysayers on this site. Gordon Bewckham was rushed to the majors and in his 4 years had to learn basically two new positions over his original college SS days. Gordon Beckham has shown the ability all he needs is the confidence. I am not aure you can expect a turnaround during reguar season but hed does work on improving. The glove is super. I think at the very least the off season will give him a chance to get straightened out Case closed. /thread

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 06:45 AM) I think Skyler is gonna play a big part in it. Either she purposely f***s up one of his business plans, or accidentally says something to Hank/Marie, etc. One gripe about last night's episode: Mike is always so careful about everything. It's hard to believe he would leave Walt like that with just a plastic type hand cuff, you knew what was coming. And leave Walt's keys and wallet on the desk.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) I know several states have legalized medical marijuana, but I didn't realize that a few had full legalization (ie, including recreational use) on the ballot this fall. I wonder how that'll do. This article on Seattle's Hempfest talks a bit about it, but also how they're trying to organize the festival this year so as to be more "mainstream." Pretty interesting stuff. I've started seeing ads out here with soccer moms on the pro-legalization side.

GT: Chicago White Sox @ at KC Royals

Swept by KC in a pennant race. Embarrassing. -
Greg at the game tonight? I look forward to his meltdown in here in about 90 minutes.

Tough to get another L with Sale on the mound. He's the only guy in the rotation where I feel we have a 90% chance of winning when he's the starter.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 08:46 PM) How could the good people of the state of Illinois elect this guy? I'd think his hairdo would have made most people think he was a dweeb to begin with. He turned out to be a cartoonish imbecile. So you're saying that you focus on physical characteristics when choosing candidates to vote for?
