  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 07:26 PM) Danks had absolutely no chance there. Wow. He has no business starting games for this team.
  2. I don't buy CDs anymore. I usually buy digital albums from Amazon or 7digital.

Wilfred and Louie have both been stellar this season.
  4. Enjoying the album "Touch Screens" by Erik Blood link
  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 07:16 AM) Time to boycott the NBA: http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php/2012/0...ic-vs-the-lgbt/ More like Orlando fans should stop going to their games. These guys don't own the entire NBA.
  6. Makes the era of Timo Perez and Pablo Ozuna look like a HOF caliber bench.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 07:58 PM) Not if they're still in 1st. At least I think that will be the case. In 2005, out of 17 home games in September we cracked 30K 6 times. That was the best season in our history with a ridiculously long drought since a championship. I doubt we'll top those 6 games this year.
  8. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 07:41 PM) Ventura needs to figure out that Rios should be our 3 hole hitter before the point in the season that Guillen figured it out with Dye in 2005. Yes. It's pretty obvious to everyone.
  9. The phrase "All men are created equal" means nothing to a larger section of society.

    2012 TV Thread

You're telling me that after all we've learned about Mike, he'd be ok with Walt getting a flashy car and letting Lydia live? He's too smart to go along with these two idiots.
  11. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 02:59 PM) This...Indians are f***in' worthless. And with our luck they'll bring up half their farm and go on a mini roll right when we're about to face them.
  12. QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) Can anyone tell me why Hudson is on this team? We needed a replacement for domino games in the clubhouse.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) We've had 2 10 inning games the last 2 days after short outings from the starters. We need 2 from Jones here. The guy gets used every single day. Might as well not put him on the playoff roster since he'll likely have a dead arm by then.
  14. Seriously...$63.99 for full access to all games for out of towners. *scratches head*
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 05:00 PM) We spend entirely too much time on this subject in this country. I guess it shows you how well we really have it here, despite the nonstop complaints about everything from healthcare to wars...if we truly had it rough, we wouldn't f***ing care about something as trivial as this entire topic. Leave it to a heterosexual to consider gay rights trivial.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 03:39 PM) The news here won't touch religious issues. Then why would you say that the news just keeps bashing priests? Perhaps you're not following the story as closely as others. It's not only that he has that opinion but he's also donating millions of dollars to organizations fighting equal rights here in the US. These same organizations are trying to make homosexuality illegal in other countries. bmags posted a great article a little further back in this thread. I suggest you read it.

I saw a thread started by Tex titled "150 Years Ago" and figured he was telling us about his upcoming birthday.
  18. #WhiteSox have changed their rotation vs. KC next week; Sale will pitch on Monday, followed by Peavy and Quintana. via
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) He has an over .900 OPS against when pitching from the stretch. He hasn't been very good. Thanks for the head's up.
  20. A Wise decision to bring him back. Please tip your servers.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) I think this thread is a great example of why my generation is coming up anti-religious. What do we see religious people getting fired up about? Do we see them getting fired up about helping people? Helping the poor, other things Jesus taught about? Sometimes yes, but take a look at yesterday at Chick Fil A. Probably their best day in business ever. Why? Because they wanted to revel in hatred for the gays. The Catholic church had a group of Nuns who were driving around the country trying to preach the actual things Christ talked about, whether or not policies were helping the poor, helping low income families, and the Catholic Bishops opposed them at the guidance of the Vatican itself, because those aren't the issues that the Catholic church thinks are important...abortion and gay hating. Say what you want about abortion, not trying to thread derail...but this is not how you do outreach to my generation. Ties in closely to the article Strangesox posted.
