    RIP John

    I'm saddened to hear this story. You have my prayers.
  3. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ May 11, 2006 -> 03:32 PM) its supposed to rain for like a week straight so there could be double headers and more canceled games. We don't play here again till 05/19.
  4. QUOTE(G&T @ May 11, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) That's the other problem, it's supposed to rain until Monday. Poor Cubbies.
  5. Do we even need BMAC to make a start now that we have a rainout today?
  6. Do they pick the make up day today?
  7. QUOTE(Sox1422 @ May 11, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) That's one hell of a way to get people's attention. What were they selling? Look at the ratio of bids to views.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 11, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) Go look at his walks/innings pitched numbers and see how they correlate with his ERA. Touche
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 11, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) You do not simply "Figure out" a 97 mph plus fastball if it's thrown for strikes. You just can't. See Kyle Farnsworth

    I still don't understand why the Sox and Cubs would have a contract with a crappy UHF station. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

  12. QUOTE(sti3 @ May 11, 2006 -> 09:04 AM) I do not blame Kelvim. I blame the umps for differentially warning and not ejecting players. I really do not belong in your club. Screw you Sox hater.
  13. Sox vs Cubs search trends A friend sent me the link above. Has a breakdown of searches on google for the Sox and Cubs. There's an obvious spike during 4th quarter of 2005 for the Sox but surprisingly the Cubs still get more searches in 2006. Also shows search breakdown by cities (Chicago and Naperville highest Sox searches), regions, and languages. I predict the gap to close by the end of this year as the Sox conitnue to kick ass while the Cubs struggle to stay in 4th place.
  14. Awesome! My favorite pitcher Kelvim Escobar is pitching tonight!
  15. Shouldn't this be merged into the AL Central thread?
  16. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) Right, which is the ultimate point here: f*** a Cy Young Award Why so much anymosity? Did you come in 2nd place one year?
  17. I know Bally's blows but it's hard to beat $12/month.
  18. I guess I was very wrong about Cleveland this year. They are not very good.
  19. Tribe blowing a 3 run lead to the Royals. Now 3-2 bottom of the 4th with a man on 3rd for KC...no outs. Check that...3-3.
  20. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ May 10, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) My point is that when Haeger throws a perfect game with 27 Ks it will be a record....period Corrected
  21. LMAO! Check out Vincente Padilla's pic on mlb.gameday. Looks like Dracula.
  22. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) IMO, this game is could go two ways. 1.Charlie makes LAA look like idiots, and its incredibly fun to watch... or..... 2.This game is more frustrating and worse than Cotts in the Bronx... If he struggles I would think Ozzie would bring in McCarthy rather quickly. He probably wouldn't leave the rookie out to dry.
  23. QUOTE(longshot7 @ May 10, 2006 -> 12:48 PM) who are # 1 & 2??? The Bears.
  24. Who would have predicted Mark wouldn't be one of them?
