  1. A great outing by Heager will throw off their timing for tomorrow's game as well.
  2. I just hope this possible setback doesn't affect the way Jose pitches. He has been unstoppable. Even doughboy John Kruk said last night that Jose's the best pitcher in the AL right now. I'd say in the majors but what do I know?
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2006 -> 08:33 AM) I think the trip to the World Series, and Joe's preformance on the national stage are going to go a long way towards his winning a Gold Glove either this year or next. The politics of this are BS, but Joe seems to be putting together the "other" prerequisites that seem to be necesary to win the GG. I really believe this is his year as long as the Sox keep winning. I really hope your right. The pace he's on is ridiculous, both at the plate and on the field.
  4. As long as A-Rod is putting up 40+ HRs a year and Chavez is right behind him, Crede will wind up no better than 3rd in the GG race.
  5. Great. Just what what the Angels needed to break out of their slump. Our 2 worst starters and a minor leaguer.
  6. How much would it cost to get a custom Haeger jersey before the game? I want to show full support.
  7. Nonetheless it will be an exciting day for Sox baseball. It's been a while since we had a knuckleballer. I may need to get some tickets now.
  8. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 8, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) They say May 17. So that would 18, 19, 20, 21 he's off and then his next start. But watch, they'll make up some excuse when May 17 comes. I'd love to see him make his first start against us and then get knocked the f#*% out.
  9. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 8, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) A wall, technology, a moat...whatever. Great idea. Lets build something like this. Worked really well in Germany.
  10. So when is Wood slated to pitch for the Cubs again? Will he pitch the series at the Cell?
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 8, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) I don't see this as a major area of concern. I don't know if it's a major area of concern but it's probably our weakest link in the chain right now.
  12. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ May 8, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) The only thing we may need on this club is a stud closer I disagree. I think another solid righty in the pen for the 7th and 8th inning is needed. Cliff has had a couple nice appearances in a row so hopefully he's getting back to form. If not, we have Nelson waiting in the wings. If that option isn't used I could see Kenny looking to make a deal.
  13. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 7, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) Personally I think Detroit is going to fade like a cheap sweater in the wash. I just dont see their pitching holding up all season long. Other than their Closer sucking ass why would you say that? What have you seen that I haven't?
  14. Bonds is a piece of s***. I hope he gets a season-ending injury before his next at-bat.

    WOW

QUOTE(fathom @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:26 PM) I was impressed with how vocal the crowd was today. Kudos to all the fans who are going to the game. Baseball's the one sport where getting people into the stands, legit or bandwagon, is critical (payroll). I was there, hooting and hollaring. Definitely a great crowd. On a bad note thought, this is the 1st game I attended where Thome hasn't HR'd. But the Sox are 5-1 with me in attendance so I won't complain too much.
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 5, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Big Sqwert doing his best Ali G imitation in vegas That was Halloween. I normally don't dress like that.
  17. Rosenbloom is pretty damn good on the radio. Easy on the ears and is quite insightful.
  18. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ May 5, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) He had a reaction to a spider bite last year that took him out of a few games.... hence my sig
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 5, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) Is your friend Beter Kammons?
  20. I hope the Chicago White Sox defeat the Kansas City Royals this evening.
  21. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 5, 2006 -> 03:03 AM) Awesome: LMAO He looks so dashing these days.
  22. Bulls should package their lottery pick from the Knicks and maybe Deng for Garnett.
  23. Not even close. Iguchi by a mile.
  24. What a disgrace. I can't believe he was voted pitcher of the month. He should have been named pitcher of the millenium!
